People left the party and he singlehandedly did a lot of things and because people can be bought with money, he shared the money and found a way to ensure his chosen candidates takes the juicy portfolios.....

He wasn't the only govenror in Nigeria in PDP and nobody stopped the rest of them from playiythr game he played in the party rather than them complaining or waiting for him to put his State resources and they want to have a loud say in the affairs of the party that will not benefit him....

Exactly what happened. You are so correct. I remembered telling people around me then that PDP has become too contented for a Wike to become the party father figure then.
Atiku was no where to be found. All those northerners were thought they were smart by collecting his money and think with their unity and numbers they can brush him aside and made a fool of him. All of them are now shocked by his political sagacity.
Wike is a good match for them. Let him give it to them massively. Southerners are not fools

wike is right about this, but it is obvious he is working for Tinubu. If PDP says they are zoning to the south, he will say Why don't they support Tinubu since he is also from the south. If PDP says they are zoning to the north, Mike will say it is unacceptable.
2027 is a very dicey game, having a candidate from the south makes a lot of sense, but who from the south can defeat Tinubu with all the resources at his disposal? the next will be to take someone from the north who can break the northern votes and try to win some states in the south. very dicey

The most glaring was indicating interest after the nation finished a deplorable 2-term zoned to the same region he is from.

He knew what was at stake, not just within the party but across the nation.

Honestly, i love Wike for this his comment. These northern people think they are smart. They depend on the south for everything. They have no money to fund party, they lost Wike, they lost Okowa, i will see who they will run to in the south for funding again, and they want to keep dominating the party and keep the southerners as their slaves. Money you no get, to run economy successfully you cannot do, just hold on to power at all cost.

PDPs presidential ticket was to be zoned to the South, specifically to the Southeast but Wike using in influence on the chairman of the zoning committee, his ally then Gov. Urtom to open the contest to all regions thinking he will emerge as PDPs candidate.

After the primaries, Atiku visited Wike in his residence to mend fences but instead wike choose to work against the party simply because he lost out in a contest where Atiku beat him to his game of money politics

You just nailed it as it unfolded then. Now he has be beaten ahead of his game and he knows fully that if he falls this time around, tinubu will dish him for the next available and he has started to bark like a toothless dog again.

Yesterday's meeting was a complete farce. It appears the PDP is still in denial, unaware of the reality of their situation. Atiku’s self-centered ambitions have done significant damage to the party. They need to sideline Atiku to start the healing process. If they insist on granting the ticket to the north or leaving it open, Wike will certainly make things difficult for them.

Look, the issue has always been the desperation of Nyesom Wike.

They all knew that it was the turn of the SE to produce the next President in 2023. Wike ensured that Obi and Umahi were pushed out of PDP. He ensured that he had adequate control over the party’s BOT and NEC, as it was claimed that he was the biggest financier.

Atiku truly wanted the Presidency, but he wanted it to be micro zoned to the SE. The Presidential zoning committee was led by Wike’s men. What did they do? They threw the ticket open. Having done that, everyone could purchase the ticket, irrespective of the region. Wike who always said that he was not an Igbo man, purchased his own ticket and contested. Atiku’s challenge them became that he wanted Ayu, a northerner to be the Chairman, which was clearly against their party rules. They all went to the primaries and Wike lost. He could not forgive Tambuwal for his loss. He then coveted the VP. When the snake Okowa, reneged on the Asaba agreement, PDP went into deeper trouble.

Wike quickly faced BAT, with an assurance to win the state for him, when Atiku gave the VP slot to Okowa the snake. His guarantee was the FCT ministerial slot. He wrote to his party, telling them of his intention of working for BAT. The party did not stop him. The rest became history, with Wike playing The Godfather by all means possible.

We are all witnesses to the events and know that Wike is the problem.

Atiku’s ambition can be set aside if they all agree. Everyone knows that the south will complete its slot in 2031. The problem now is that PDP does not have a candidate. Now BAT has all the PDP people decamping to his side. The only hope for a better PDP may be Obi. That’s why today, APC does all that it can to remarks him.

Politicians look into the distant and near future. They have started looking at life after Tinubu vacates offices and not just about 2031.
