Nice one. Brazil deserves another world cup trophy, they've been out in the world cup wilderness since 2002, the Selecao needs to rejig our minds on why they are the most successful and feared national team on the planet.

Brazil has a unique soccer DNA unlike what is played in Europe and the rest of the world, a DNA of ultra self expressionism that always appears contrary to the logic of the game which is essentially after great team play and tactics.

That is why it has become near impossible for Brazil to win anything on the field and their highly skilled footballers to win best player awards on the global stage. The world just does not recognize their style of play.

Now to have a foreigner in charge means they have recognized this and are charting a path further away from their roots but coming to the reality as well that they have to play the way the rest of the world does to win things.

Brazil is struggling to place it's footballing identity. The bulk of their players lose that 'flair' in order to prosper in Europe and though their basic skills are in high demand the coaches in Europe, the Jose's, the Pep's of the world end up changing this DNA and it affects the national team.

In appointing Carlo I think they have given up and given in to the European style of the game. I don't think they are out of the woods yet. Because it will be extremely difficult to beat the Europeans at their game.
