This is an absolute disgrace. A few days ago, when I pointed out the inconsistencies in the JAMB results, some dingbats turned it into a tribal spat. Now, we can all see that JAMB is not a reliable organization. Meanwhile, Minister of Education, that dumb@ss said that students fail because anti-cheating measures are working. Oponu rada rada.

All institutions under the Tinubu regime have become a disgrace. JAMB, which used to be one of the few remaining institutions with a semblance of credibility, has now been infected by Tinubu's calamitous Emilokan-driven tribal and ethnic bigotry. It is now a shadow of its former self, gone to the dogs. Last year, during the Mmesoma debacle, instead of handling the issue professionally and on an individual basis as an educational institution should, JAMB played the ethnic card, denigrating the tribe the young girl came from. That was when I realized it was all over. This year, unable to find another “Mmesoma,” they released a list of states with the highest number of malpractice cases, unsurprisingly placing Anambra State at the top. When Nigerians criticized the exam scheduling, particularly the early accreditation time of 6:30 a.m. and raised concerns about the safety of teenagers aged 15 to 17 who must travel long distances to take their exams, JAMB failed to respond professionally. Instead, in the usual fashion of the Tinubu-led APC government, they singled out Peter Obi for a response. This is the legacy Tinubu is leaving behind: one of deepening ethnic and tribal bigotry. |

Most of these students failed due to over confidence! They should take their results and move on and stop disturbing us. Meanwhile the senate should extend JAMB results to be valid for 5 years |

The best they can do is reduce the admission cut off scores for universities and ensure every institution complies. Since the result is so bad as seen, the worst in decades, jamb should just reduce university admission cut off for major curses to 150. Let the post UTME now decide who's capable enough to earn a slot in their respective courses of study. Seriously, I don't see any big deal in this. In my time, if you scored 220 for instance, you're a guru. This was before the advent of the Internet. Their marking scheme was so strict. If you don't understand any question, just leave it jejelly because if you attempt it wrongly, your mark would be deducted from those you got correctly. Waec back then wasn't easy to come by. If you managed to have an A in core subjects, na celebration galore. Combination of waec results used to be order of the day, even for major courses. In brochures you'd see 5 o'level credit passes at a sitting or 6 credit passes in 2 sittings. Nothing like post utme. Even in law, P was allowed in maths. But nowadays, you see students scoring As all through. Marking schemes had been adjusted over time to favour a particular region or tribe, which is part of what's affecting the standard of education in Nigeria. In maths for instance, those marking waec back then would be interested only in the final answer. If the workings were supposed have 5 steps and you got the last answer wrongly, especially where they're asking you to round off your answer to the nearest whole number and you got it wrongly, they'd not spare you, except the marker just wanted to show mercy on you and used his pen to help you write the correct answer, then, mark it. Otherwise you'd miss the whole question and that's the reason we hardly saw candidates who had an A1 in maths back then. But nowadays, maths marking schemes are in steps same as other subjects that involve calculations. Even if you got the final answer wrongly but you got the steps correctly, you'd still earn some marks. I wish we could go back to that era. Our system of education can be overhauled if they could start from that level. |

Even the little percentage that passes, Nigeria universities cannot take them all, so why reviewing it? ...... which means, the jamb doesn't even know the integrity of his own exam standard. |

Will they release another set of results or what? As someone said up there, the best they can do is to reduce cutoff marks and plead with the various institutions to do same |

PlasmaTV:JAMB has always been a fraudulent institution that award marks as they deem fit. Maybe it’s better now because it is CBT but it has always been a rogue organization. I personally confirmed that in 2012. Writing JAMB after graduation to pursue a different degree. I saw 60 in subjects I was 100% sure, going by my review, that I couldn’t have scored less than 95. In literature-in-English, a subject I was 100% sure I couldn’t have scored more than 50 seeing I had left 50% of the questions UNTOUCHED (recommended text section), I was given a score above 80. How possible is it to score above 80 in a subject in which you left more than half of the questioned, unanswered? |

PlasmaTV:Lol because they said they would bring experts to do a review? Does not prove anything, if anything it proves how credible JAMB is they are willing to expose their internal systems to possible critics Ill bounce back to the old age phrase. The people who scored 300+ did they have 2 heads? |

G0odharddick:Shut up jare. Students with A's and B's in their WAEC failed and you are saying they should not disturb us. Someone that I know got 300+ in the mock exam and scored 156 or so in the actual exam. Is that possible? Btw, are you a Tinubu supporter? Cos you think like you've over eaten agbado. |
