Two weeks ago I remembered that Air Force Day was approaching. Then I forgot.

The sight of 3 Attak helicopters and 2 Super Tucanos flying over Five Cowrie Creek last Friday reminded me. One of the helicopters was carrying the Nigerian flag.

The Nigerian Air Force was founded on April 18th, 1964 (61 years ago). There have been open days (when members of the public are allowed to visit selected air bases and aircraft), medical outreach, sports competitions and other activities to mark the event.

Of course the activity that has caught the attention of the public the most has been the air display. People have been trying to find out what's going on.

If Pakistan and India can manufacture fighter jets, nothing stops us from doing the same and more.

Where is our Tucano Planes? I know how much of my hard earned money I contributed into the buying of those war planes from the US.

I am really worried that I have not been hearing any news about them since almost 2 years ago. I just hope Buhari never resell it to Niger Republic or Sudan o before he left.....
