In response to public concerns surrounding the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has taken a significant step to ensure transparency and restore public confidence in its processes. A letter dated 13th May 2025 and signed by Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, confirms that the Board has approved the formation of a special review panel to assess the release of the 2025 UTME results. This initiative follows widespread reactions in some quarters concerning the outcome of the examination. The review panel, according to the letter addressed to Mr. Alex Onyia, CEO of EDUCARE in Lagos, is expected to: 1. Appraise the conduct of the 2025 UTME. 2. Identify any challenges that may have affected the examination process. 3. Recommend appropriate measures to prevent future occurrences. JAMB emphasized that participation in the panel comes at no cost to the Board, underlining the voluntary nature of this exercise. The panel is composed of a wide range of stakeholders in the education sector, including: 1. All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) 2. National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools 3. Chief External Examiners (CEEs) 4. Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN) 5. Educational Assessment & Research Network 6. Vice Chancellors of Universities 7. Rectors of Polytechnics 8. Provosts of Colleges of Education 9. Other relevant Board staff The date for the review meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, 15th May 2025. This move by JAMB signals a proactive and inclusive approach to addressing issues in the UTME process and ensuring that feedback from education stakeholders guides future improvements. For students, parents, and educators alike, this development is a welcome step toward greater accountability and trust in Nigeria’s admission system. https://schooloverflow.com/topic/jamb-invites-stakeholders-to-review-2025-utme-results-amid-public-concerns-photo-774
