At this point, Seems your posts needs to start getting reported for spamming, it's not longer normal inquiry.

You will still ask if the responders are legit or not.

Good evening great minds.

Thanks once again for everything so far.

I've gotten the shunt from @fuckboy. I just got home not long ago. The battery is at around 78% now. Should I try to connect it now it do so tomorrow and allow the battery to charge full and then run it down again?

Thank you.🙏

Please ignore my posts, or use the newly introduced Nairaland block function. By observing your posts, you are clearly an arrogant person. All because you have knowledge about solar inverter systems.

The Pylontech allows for a higher depth of discharge (95%) vs the Deye (80%). On paper at least.

But either option should be fine.
The Pylon looks to be a Lithium-ion though compared to the Deye which is LiFePo4. I am not touching a Lithium ion battery. Lol.

Does a 48v 5kwh exist? How do you join 16 cells to make just as little as 5kwh? Maybe around 100ah sha. That will be rare to find though.
It does. Sygnite has in stock. I am just trying to see where I can get a good price or if and where I can get a 42V 7.5kwh LiFePo4 for at least 1.6m

Buy cells and couple. It is super affordable.
Most of us are buying beautiful casing at higher price.

16kwh is roughly 1.9m ( cells only)
7.4kwh is roughly 960k ( " " " )
At least with this you know what you are buying.

Bro, I am a noob in this. So I wouldn't know where to start. Plus I am afraid of DIY. I live alone and travel a lot cos of work. I have to avoid any potential fire risks. I would be interested in knowing more tho if you don't mind. Thanks.

That is what some of these guys do here. When a learner comes and ask lots of question, it gets to a point where they start becoming very hostile. I don't understand this weird behaviour but it is common amongst lots of Nigerians. Me, I no send am.

Ask your questions, you'd surely get answers.

If A no answer, B go answer.

Cheers.

Thank you bro. Special thanks to people like HeavenlyBang and co, who are very patient and helpful to novices here. Coupled with chatgpt, I have been able to get all the information I need to procur the ideal setup I want. Will sort everything and install when I am back in country next weekend.

This looks fake to me, I know the OEM to be Hager not TOMZN. Moreso, the model has failed multiple times at currents greater than 40A.
I recommend you use the MTS MCB as attached below if your load is going be more than 32A. This has an internal mechanical interlock that switches off the common load when you switch on the backup load and vice-versa.
Tomzn has this too: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EJQqchs

That's not an ON and OFF switch, it's a Manual Transfer Switch which can replace the usual knife changeover switch.

Do you travel with your phone and laptop? If yes, did you know your phone and laptop batteries are lithium ion? And I know for sure these devices are very close to your body? Have you experienced any fire?

Why fear what cannot harm you?

I practically live in the same building with both lithium ion and lifepo4.

YOUR ARE ONLY GETTING USUALLY WORRIED WITHOUT REASON.

BRO, NO FIRE ANYWHERE.

Those of you that created fear in newbies, shey b una don see the thing wey una don cos to ppu mind now.

YouTube guys who need subscribers see just fire in anything lithium. They are the worst of them all.

So what could have caused this issue since you are under the recommended voltage??

I guess I’m still asking the same question as you 🥲
I have disconnected 2 panels, now I have 2pcs for 420 Cworth panels I’m not making use of.

This Cworth panels are very good, even with just 2 panels I get around 700+ watts which is enough for me.

See wahala o.
I ordered two 585W Jinko panels from Fouani.
But this morning I got a call requesting me to contact a show room for my order. After I did so, I was informed by the show room manager that they only have one panel each of 590W and 580W.

I made payment on the 6/5/2025 when the panels were much available. So, I don't know why this new development.

Fouani just dey do wetin sweet them this year.

I don't see why you'd have an issue with collecting the 580w and 590w sha. You'd just be losing 10w.

Bro it is because I live alone, in a rented apartment. Not married. And I travel a lot for work. At least with my laptop and phone, I am always with it both at work and at home.

Didn't know much about inverter setup before I started contributing in this thread. But thanks to folks like yourself and HeavenlyBang plus chatgpt, I know what to do with the basic knowledge I have acquired. However it is also good to get feedback from long term users like yourself about some certain products and also the best setup config for proper optimization.

Turn off pv breaker when traveling. Not that something bad will happen sef. Bros no fear. But sincerely enh, you need to ELIMINATE THE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS YOU HAVE ON LIFEPO4.

My major worry is the thought of when I want to upgrade my panel size in the future. Having different sized panels may affect my setup in the future. Another option I was given is to top up payment for two 620W panels.
