So throwback to 2017 when i was running a business centre, then somehow a lady ( customer) was crushing on me unknowingly to me which i didnt notice so i kept it as just friends, yes. Later on i got married with kids now and she also married with kids but we still friends though, no strings attached.

Then fast forward to January this year, i told her am searching for work and she told me she will talk to her uncle who is a "politician" based in Abuja. She later gave me a feedback that the job is 500k for a slot that i should forward my details to her to forward to her uncle. I told her to link me with this uncle of hers for direct dealings she said her uncle wouldn't permit oweing that hes a high figure that doesnt want to be dragged (nagged) by people, that he will only relate to her then to me, she now the middle(man). She assured me not to be worried that if along the line i loose interests that her uncle can refund and stop the processing So i obliged to the offer then gave her 300k that when i get an appointment letter will balance up.

To sum everything, i have lost interest and am requesting my pay back cos am not seeing any light.... She said she will inform her uncle of it then get back to me, for 7 days now no feed back. Please, what do you advice me to do ??

My advise for you is to restrict the bank account you transfer to that's how you can get money back

You suppose to get the work b4 any payment

If it's opay and palmpay app go to the transaction and report dispute on it ASAP

Make sure you restrict the bank account you sent the money to it's very important you'll see the way they'll refund back the money immediately

I've always said that people who get scammed are rarely innocent people. It's always someone who wants to cut corners, is greedy, and self serving. They need to be scammed until they learn a lesson and reevaluate their life.

Don't be too sure about that. Where in Nigeria of today do you get a federal government job and then pay later.

How do you report this to the authorities? You tried to illegally get a job slot, that's a criminal offense and the scammers know it. If you're going to have her arrested, you'll have to risk yourself getting charged for bribery and corruption.

Omo, this kain thing dey pain. Sorry you’re going through this. But make I be honest — once you start sending money for “processing” or “connection” without clear paperwork or any official trail, e don turn red flag.

This is exactly why me I no dey do any kind transfer or payment again without something wey I fit trace or control. These days, once money don leave your hand without proper visibility, to get am back na wahala.

One small tip wey help me avoid nonsense like this now: I only dey move money through channels where I fit reverse or track it fast if anything smell fishy. No be every payment you go rush — especially the kain wey person say “just trust me.”

If person no fit wait make you verify or get full clarity, then maybe na you dem wan use run package.

The best way to ambush a scammer is by not showing that you’re aware you’re being scammed or already scammed… continue giving the same vibe you were giving from the beginning and don’t act suspicious…
