cutefy:The other option is better than this. Almost all jinko panels up to 605w have a current rating around 13amps. From 610w up has around 15amps (you can check out their specs sheets to confirm). Future expansion would most likely be series connection. So if you get the 620w panel now, know you would stick to the 610w + going forward. |

fuckboys:You are better off this way,.That's 840watts as against the 720watts recommended for 12v.The difference is still acceptable. You can invest in another Mppt and have the remaining two panels set up on it That will be 120amps expected generation. Your battery will be very happy!!! |

Mavor:I have a friend that stays London. She has 20kwh of lithium which she uses only in Christmas. The rest of the year it just sits. Except for like two or three times a year some of the nephews/nieces visits the house. No issue. |

mctfopt:I didn't get it at first, I take it you mean the 20kwh battery is in her house in Nigeria shey? I was confused why anyone abroad would have that sort of battery and not use it to save on their truly killer electricity bills. |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 1:52am On May 15, 2025 |
fuckboys:Just checked one of your old post where you mentioned you have a voltage regulator connected to the whole flat. Is it a new addition and is it connected directly to your inverter? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by omotoda(m): 1:52am On May 15, 2025 |
fuckboys:For 280ah battery. it shouldn't .Moreover the 120amp is theoretical. By the time you factor in losses in cable, efficiency loss etc you might be getting less than 100amp |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by omotoda(m): 1:54am On May 15, 2025 |
fuckboys:That's shoukd be a problem with the inverter |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 3:43am On May 15, 2025 |
bbally:yes I did, the breaker that was bad was the pv breaker |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 3:46am On May 15, 2025 |
AndroBlaze:yes the voltage regulator is connected and powering the entire flat including the inverter. The grid literally comes in through the stabilizer. |

omotoda:60a is the recommended charge current on the battery manual, max is 100. |

omotoda:I'm just charging with only solar for now, where is the most reliable place to have the inverter fixed? It's a sukam transformer based Indian inverter. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by omotoda(m): 5:31am On May 15, 2025 |
fuckboys:If they have a repair centre that will be best. All these Alaba and arena guys do cut and join. except you have a reliable one.I fixed my Luminous inverter at their repair centre in Oregun. You can buy an external 12v LFP charger and use with it.@Valto or @lnnovo should have |

Good morning gurus in the house, I am intending to change my 24V gel (lead-acid) type batteries to 48V LiFePO4 batteries and I came across some batteries that appear good on AliExpress. I am a bit sceptical about buying the 48V LiFePO4 batteries on AliExpress and shipping it down to Nigeria. Please, does anyone have any experience on buying LiFePO4 batteries on AliExpress. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 9:21am On May 15, 2025 |
fuckboys:Maybe others can come in with their personal experiences here, but I don't believe a stabilizer (NOTE: this excludes a regulator) and an inverter is a beneficial partnership nor are they designed to get along. My experience says stabilisers don't play well with anything else that also manipulates voltage (but this was my 1st experience with an inverter which is almost like 15 years ago, probably designs have changed). Let others who use the combo chip in, but I think you need to ditch the stabiliser, that's if its a stabilizer you are using and not a regulator. Oh, and what I mean by differentiating the 2 is that a stabilizer can collect low or high voltage and emits more useable voltage while a regulator will simply cut it off if the voltage is too high or too low and not pass anything through.... this could make a big difference to an inverter, with the latter likely not having any negative effect at all. |

Guys please i plan on getting a 200ah lithium battery (or two 100ah ones) and i plan to run them with solar panels.I'm new to this solar thing and I'm a single guy in my 20's and will soon be moving out of my parents house. I don't want to have anything to do with generators and i want to be completely off grid. I've already paid for a single room self contain and i've bought a single 40watt standing fan(for my room), four light bulbs(one 20watt and three 10watts) and a new laptop that has a battery capacity of 68wh. Those are the only things that would consume electricity in my apartment, asides other very minor things. My worry now is that would 200ah be too much or too little for my electricity needs? i need to charge my laptop at most 3 times a day (under intensive use), two of the bulbs would be in my room while the others would be in the kitchen and bathroom respectively(i would rarely need to use those two). the bulbs in my room would typically be on from 6pm to 12am(when i usually sleep) and the fan is the only thing that i think might need to be on 24/7 (not necessarily though). |
