It is a bad question.

Leading questions can only generate biased answers.

A better question would be: "Analyze the sexual harassment allegation of Natasha Iduaghan against Akpabio, and draw your own conclusions."

Our lecturers need to do better with stimulating the brains of their students.

When you ask a leading question, you are constraining their thinking capabilities.

Then, to make it worse, the examiner makes it clear that he doesn't believe that there is gender-based political culture among our politicians because he wants the students to suggests ways to boost gender-based political culture among Nigerian politicians.

This is a really bad question.

From the answers, some analysts will be able to determine students who are sympathisers of APC, PDP, Labour party or even IPOB 😃 😀 😄 😁

Also, a deep analysis of the answers may reveal the state or region of many of the students

Naija na interesting country 👅 😛

Let's pray on behalf of the students that the lecturer that will mark the script won't also show his bias or political leaning in awarding marks. Make e no come be another JAMB wahala eyes 👀

I do not agree with your second submission that the examiner doesn't believe that there is gender-based political culture among our politicians. He's only asking for suggestions on how it can be improved. You can't boost what is not available

Even so, it is still bad to believe that gender-based political culture is low.

For a start, how does one even define gender-based political culture?

It is just a very bad question.

Too bad because it is leading, and also because it is ambiguous.

The best answers to those questions might be forwarded to the respective parties as it helps in determining the cause and effect of the problem and a solution drawn from the student’s perspective.

Some say these are good questions and some say they're bad questions... with reasons.

This is what education is all about as it empowers people to think critical, look at issues holistically and see things from different perspectives.

Those that have argued for and against, you've all done well. I'll do my own analysis later in the day as I just came in.

But some people will come out in the open to trivialize the need to get education simply because it doesn't guarantee success!

We need God's intervention in this country.

Well I choose to argue with your correction being that it will now be a question with various opinions, and what will now be the yardstick to judge what is correct or wrong. It's better of you push the students to a direction and see how they deduce and conclude with it, than bringing up a scope that will not give a definitive answer.

Why is the second semester 2023/24 session exam taking place in the month May of 2025?

I like the third question about Traoré and philosophy of African leaders. What's the philosophy of the leaders we have in Nigeria now? They don't have, that's why they keep decamping every month.

For Naija universities exams of particular calendar session are written 1 or 2 years after.

. But the point of education is to let students explore. We are the same people who condemn cramming. You may be thinking the answer will be in one way but you'll be surprised that what they taught them is for all sides.

This kind of question encourages ciritcal thinking instead of one size fits all. They usually have a guideline for marking this kind of question and it is expected the students apply certain concepts or theories in answering their questions. It's applied learning.

GoodSpirit:
Why is ot that Arts students don't always compete for the best students even when they study simpler subjects?
papyjaypaul:
I see that the issue isn't so much about the difficulty of subjects, but about perceptions about what constitutes "value" and "success."

Arts subjects like literature, history, philosophy, or fine arts engage with human experience, critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and creative expression. These are not always quantifiable and valued in the beginning, and so they’re often perceived as "easier" simply because they don’t always involve rigid structures like formulas or problem sets. Who cannot draw? Who cannot write a poem?

In many education systems, the "best students" are steered toward fields like medicine, engineering, or finance because these are seen as paths to clear, prestigious careers. Arts students, by contrast, often have to carve their own paths. That takes a different kind of courage and intelligence, one rooted in introspection, communication, and adaptability. It's a different kind of intelligence.

The truth is, the Arts don’t lack competition or depth. They often attract students who are passionate, reflective, and curious, but perhaps not always the ones who fit traditional metrics of academic "achievement." The best minds in Arts think in complex, layered ways, but that brilliance may not always be visible on a transcript.

So the question isn’t really about Arts being "simpler." It’s about rethinking what we value in education and recognizing that intellectual rigor comes in many forms, not just those with numbers and right answers.

At the end of the day, the engineer builds a world class stadium that can only be enjoyed by the creativity and atristry of footballers. When he is tired, he goes to a comedy show to enjoy the art of a funny guy wink

We need each other.

Number 5 is easy, the answer is godfatherism and corruption, Wike wants Fubara to be sharing Rivers allocation with him, the solution is godfatherism should be banned in politics and corruption should be tackled.

cry Isn't it a pity that we are still where we were many years ago. Nigeria is stealing the bright future of the young people by making life hard by their own doing, not God's.
