ABOUT FLIGHT BOOKING FOR VISA APPLICATION:

Important notes on flight reservations for visa applications:

1. Flight reservations/itineraries often get cancelled within 72 hours.
2. Despite this, they are still acceptable for visa applications.
3. You don't have to use the same flight when your visa is approved - you can book a new one.

IF YOU ARE USING:
Sponsorship

1. When being sponsored by a relative, sharing the same surname can simplify things.
2. This helps establish ties more easily.
3. However, if you don't share the same surname, you can provide evidence to support your application.
4. Remember not all types of visas require sponsorship

Important Update for International Students

Due to Poland's new policy requiring universities to grant 50% of admissions to international students and 50% to Polish citizens, some schools have reached their quota for international students. As a result, they may no longer be accepting applications from international students.

To avoid losing money on non-refundable application fees, research the school's admission policies and availability for international students before applying. Make sure to:

1. Check the school's website or contact their admissions office directly
2. Confirm their quota status for international students
3. Understand their application fee policies and refund terms

Save time and money by doing your research before applying.

```Major Law Changes for International Students in Poland – What You Need to Know for 2025```
1. Admission to Polish Universities – New Rules
What’s changed?
- Language Verification:All non-EU students must have their language skills (in the language of their studies are in) verified at least at a B2 level. The university will specify which certificates are accepted. If in doubt, get your documents reviewed before you apply. A university can also organize an English proficiency exam, but remember that it is their right, and not all will do it.
- Entrance Exams:If your school diploma or previous degree is from outside the EU, entrance exams are now mandatory for first-cycle (Bachelor) and long-cycle (single master) studies. Some Master’s applicants may face new exams, too.
- Document Submission - Recognition of your education certificates:You must submit all required documents during the recruitment process (not after arrival). Delays or missing papers = rejection. That means that the education recognition decision/statement has to be submitted before the admission is granted.
- NAWA takes over recognition:The Polish NAWA agency will handle the process of confirming if your documents allow you to study (no longer local education offices). You have until June 30th to make it via the education board (Kuratorium), or you will have to wait 2-3 months to get it from NAWA.
Administrative decisions by rector:Admission will now be finalized via formal administrative decisions from the rector, not just from faculty.
Visa Application – What’s New?```
What’s changed ?
- Stricter University Approval: Visas will only be granted for studies at universities specifically approved by the Ministry of Interior.
- Consular Information Sharing: Consulates must now notify your university when your visa is issued (and universities must notify authorities if you are removed from the student list).
- Extra documents: Students with foreign diplomas must provide either an eligible document or written confirmation from NAWA proving eligibility to study in Poland.
- Health Insurance Requirement: You must include a valid, Ministry-approved medical insurance policy with your visa application.
- Payment Proof: You must show evidence of tuition fee payment for a minimum of a semester
