What's the criteria for just 300k + to retake the examination when the issues were widespread?
This same imbe fixed examination to start by 6am(accreditation is part and parcel of the exam process),when he should know many CBT centres are several kilometres away from residences of candidates and the appalling security situation in the country.
The only honor he should render is his resignation, that is what self acclaimed righteous people do.
His crocodile tears are for show!
In a sane country, he suppose to have resigned by now

But why did the glitch affect Lagos and South East zone only?

Why?? Why?? Whyhuh

Let someone clarify this please 🙏🙏🙏

What exactly is the glitch? Cos it obviously involved the grading.

Did they use a different marking scheme, or
did the glitch involve multiplying the scores from those regions by a factor (say 0.8 or something).

Cos I don't understand at all.

He needs to resign or be sacked, that's how to take responsibility. But an African power-drunk won't go that length that's why things ain't working fine in Africa, especially Nigeria.

They said over 1.5m got below 200 and jamb approved just 300+ to resit for the exam?

This simple means only those affected by glitches and computer errors can resit for the exam, others should take their scores and prepare for next year jamb.

The senate should make JAMB results valid for 5 years
JAMB is looking for the easy way out. They should release their scripts and audit trails for each candidate and let's see how it matches with the scores given to them. All the turenchi about glitches and patches is just to obfuscate the real issue. Their system has no audit trail and proper quality control for exam sessions.

Whoever put up this statement should be issued a query.

WTF is "Man Proposes, God disposes"?

So we should blame God?
I wonder..ooo.for human error, you are blaming God for disposing the proposal (error) of man.
Over-religious people in government high places.

No, that man is an epitome of performance. The system is not perfect and now, we have seen the weakness of the CBT Examination system.

We must not jettison the CBT examination system but we must prepare for better administration of the CBT examination system going forward to mitigate against the possible challenges.

Opportunity must continually be given to students whom the CBT examination system malfunction impede to automatically qualify for a resit within the examination window.

There should be no refund but an opportunity to retake the examination for those students who were affected by the glitch or malfunction.

I respect Prof. Oloyede for taking, on behalf of JAMB, responsibility for the failure of JAMB to ensure seamless CBT examination system.
What's the guarantee that the same glitches will not occur again during the re-sit?

With improved technology, highly trained information technology staff and computer engineers and improved supervision, there will be less malfunctions and gradually, we will have better CBT examination systems in all CBT centres.

Baba be sincere, there was no glitch. This is an intentional act to suppress scores from a particular region and state. It is no coincidence that no other region was affected out of the 6 regions wholly like southeast.

This is scandalous and reprehensible. Heads must roll.Tears can not suffice in this kind of situation as his character has been tarnished. Any exam he conducts going forward will be viewed through the prism of this his huge failure hence his need to step down.

This is too glaring and can't be covered up cos it's sticking out like a sour thumb.

He’s not resigning anywhere. He will stay put till he dies sef. Ishaq is the first and only JAMB registrar who has submitted that much revenue to the FG purse. Una go die waiting for him to resign. Na today? Sabotage all you want but you won’t go near those billions.

This is a good move

The funniest thing is that those that failed woefully without system glitch also want to be given the privilege of re-sitting

No be juju he that? cheesy
Actually, resit exams are a global phenomenon. Resits should really be a usual practice, especially for an exam that holds just once in a year and has a one-year validity.

Anything could have led to a student failing an exam. I'm currently in my village, and I have heard all sorts of distasteful stories, from how people travelled 2-3 hours to sit for their exams, to how priority was given to some candidates both at the point of registration and during the exams. We can do better.

If after two attempts, we are still seeing a 80% mass failure rate, then students should take only 10% of the blame. The remaining 90% should be distributed evenly among the teachers, school administrators, government, and parents. Mass failure will never be the fault of the students.

If glitches made some fail. What is the probability that those announced as passed actually passed. Abi glitch no dey increase scores too?
Of course it does. Some intellectually lazy students scored more than the intelligent ones but nobody is talking about that. Glitches affect both sides.

I don't agree with you that it is intentional and you are also making it sound like it was done to supress some people.

Why do some Nigerians always think negatively? Why are you so pessimistic?

This will keep you stuck in the past and unable to progress. You should not stay fixated on trivial matters and incite people against other organizations.

What are your proofs to corroborate your assertion?

Besides, I can tell you that there may be disciplinary actions against some staff in JAMB but definitely not necessarily to make heads roll. There must be review of JAMB"s policies and strategic plan towards CBT examination system but definitely not in a way to sacrifice productive, dedicated and hardworking personnel.

There is no organization above mistakes; even you are not above mistakes.

Have you ever heard this before: "Examination isn't the true test of knowledge"?

On examination days, a lot of factors affect students and these factors influence their performance in the examination positively or negatively.

That is the reason we parents and schools are also encouraged to prepare the students psychologically for the exams, calm them down and ensure that they are not overwhelmed, scared or destabilized in course of the preparation and exercise.

Abusing who?

Students who didn't prepare failed because they were over confident, so what are you saying?

Dude I'm not the reason why you scored 156
