AndroBlaze:What I have a central Stabilizer not voltage regulator. So are you saying the stabilizer could be the culprit for the mcb trip on the inverter? |

relaxfun:chief just get yourself a solar generator and add solar panels later, your power needs isn’t enough yet for a full solar system. And I’m recommending this based on your space, a self contained apartment doesn’t have room for a solar System. You wouldn’t want inverter and battery steadily blowing hot air into your space and with all the fan noise. It’s just a single room we’re talking about here. |

Good morning great minds Thanks to everyone once again for last time. I’m back with reports as I’ve connected the shunt to the battery and loaded it all through last night. These were the final readings: 1st and 2nd picture: Shunt reading at the start and at the end of the experiment respectively. 3rd and 4th picture: Battery reading at the start and end of the experiment respectively.

fuckboys:I think so, but I'd like others who have tried this combo more recently to comment. I do recall others have had issues on this thread with stabs and inverters. |

The installer lives close to me. He travelled and came back two days ago. He came to my house yesterday and I told him that I bought a shunt to test the battery capacity. I’d already asked the Sako distributor at Alaba if the battery he gave to me was 25.6v; 200ah and he was beating about the bush but later answered me that that was the battery given to me. The installer called me back few minutes after leaving my house and told me that the distributor called him and told him that one of my friends at Alaba who happens to be a PRO there and works in their task force caused the whole issue. I contacted that my friend when they first sent me one battery called Suhkig and I rejected it. So I called him to help me go and make sure those distributors give my installer a good and renowned product. They said the PRO came and met them ahead of time and discussed with them on how to make money from me. They said he told them that I’m like a brother to him and that anything he tells me in Alaba market, I’ll do it. They said they had to record the conversation as they were scared it might backfire. I sent their balance to this PRO so that once he confirms everything , he will transfer to them. So they gave me a bad battery because according to them, he didn’t give them the complete money. This PRO at Alaba has been like a brother to me for the past 5 years. I bought almost all my appliances through him and he has never sent a bad product to me before. I just call him and he meets the direct importers and tells me the price of any commodity I wanna buy and it’s always cheaper than normal market price. I in return bless him financially and with airtime severally. I even bought my inverter freezer through him last week. So, they said that if he can return the money he withheld, they will give me my complete 5Kwh battery. I’ve just been in shock since. |

KudozInteriors:Sorry, I don’t quite get you. I thought the installer got the battery for you? Or do you mean that your installer met another person (the PRO who knew you also) to get the battery from? Like the both of them planned you all along? Modified: ok I get you now @ bolded |

KudozInteriors:Anytime Nigerians want to do fraud that's when their thinking caps will switch on and they now turn into Ocean's 11 allstars. One of the reasons this thread exists is to encourage us to walk this solar journey ourselves, as much as we can. That's why people were encouraged in the beginning to start reading from page one, to arm yourselves with as much information as one can. I think we need to bring that back. I am sad this turned out this way but I think you've gained something more valuable than the money you've been temporarily dispossessed of so far. I am almost certain you will smile back at this experience at a latter date. I will not advise you further how to handle these people as I believe you'll handle them appropriately. Again, wishing you the best bro and looking forward to when you have your system properly setup. One last thing though, did you mention you have solar panels.....because the authenticity of that will need to be confirmed also. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 10:16am On May 15, 2025 |
KudozInteriors:you need to call the pro guy letting him know you Know about what he did and the sako guys have a recording of when he did it and played it to you. Telling you’re sending the battery back and he has to balance them for so you can collect the 200ah battery. Just sound threatening on the phone. |

BigDickProblems:The installer got a bad battery for me at first and told me that the product he wanted buying wasn’t in the market. I was very angry with him and asked him why he didn’t call me. I didn’t even use the first battery at all. I asked him to return it the next day. He said we should buy Sako buy that it’s not the same price. I was already getting fed up with the whole stories. Out of trust, I involved my friend that is a PRO in the market and sent the balance for the Sako battery to him and asked him to help my installer before those guys will give him another nonsense battery because I was beginning to doubt the competence of my installer but I felt that involving this guy as a PRO/task force officer in Alaba, the distributor would respect himself and give my installer the correct thing. We have returned battery to Alaba more than 3 times since I decided to go on this journey. It’s been so much stress. I have not called the PRO yet as I don’t know how best to handle this matter but I’ll definitely have to go to Alaba myself with the installer. He has been begging me that he didn’t know anything about what they planned because he’s aware that I wanted to arrest him. My wife had been begging me not to arrest him yet that he might not be a party to the dirty plan really. |

KudozInteriors:Bravo! na to use Police or Soldier go pick up both the PRO, the installer and everybody involved and get your 5kwh battery. I think it was a sticker fraud. Meanwhile what I noticed from your 2.5kwh battery is that it hardly gets charged to 100% in a day (From ur previous SOCs posted), I doubt if your current set up can even charge a 5kwh to 100% in day. |

AndroBlaze:Thank you so much sir. Yes I have panels and now I’m doubting everything. The 550 watts bi-facial I bought myself is bigger than the 550watts Canadian panel the installer got for me. I started making purchases myself after I couldn’t trust anybody including the installer. I’d told him that he shouldn’t get panels from me that I’ll get from fouani myself but he told me that he knows where he can get good Canadian panels that will behave like jinko or even do better. That’s it has been his work for years and he knows the best. All these his claims were lies. I’ve told him to come and carry the 2 panels he got for me and balance me my money. I think the ones I got are doing better. I don’t even know how to confirm that even though I read that shunt can be used to confirm the capacity of panels. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by KudozInteriors(m): 10:26am On May 15, 2025 |
CuteMaro:I intend adding extra 3 or 4 550watts panels after this whole brouhaha has ended. I heard that they don’t allow police or army to arrest anyone in Alaba. I don’t know how true that is. Nevertheless, I’ll get him arrested if he doesn’t cooperate. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 10:30am On May 15, 2025 |
KudozInteriors:I said I wasn't going to put mouth in this again, but your wife is wrong. The installer was part of it, there is no doubt, unless he is truly an electrician and an illiterate, that's the only way you can exclude him. They likely just removed the cells in the Sukhig battery you rejected and transplanted them into the Sako casing, which is why that battery will even struggle to do the 2.5kw for 100amps sef!! Please, like I said, make sure the lessons you learn from this experience exceeds the money you've temporarily lost ooo. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by CuteMaro(m): 10:32am On May 15, 2025 |
KudozInteriors:Good, before adding more panels try and ask questions and also update the house with your kind of inverter, capacity and charge controller if possible, so they can better advice on how to size your system properly. There's oversizing and also undersizing. |

CuteMaro:Gbamsoutely. All the pictures he posted has never been 95% to 100%. Either the battery settings from the inveter is wrong or the the generated solar power is inadequate |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by KudozInteriors(m): 10:40am On May 15, 2025 |
AndroBlaze:Hmmm. This might actually be the case. I’ve not thought of it from this angle because I’ve been thinking why such a battery will be behaving so poorly. I’ll take actions on them and give you feedback here. Thank you so much. |

dollarnaira:I am also looking for a 24V/48V auto hybrid inverter with 500V max MPPT array within the rage of 3KW to 4KW and that specification has been a bit challenging to come by. I would get it if you could help point out any location in Abuja |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by KudozInteriors(m): 10:43am On May 15, 2025 |
CuteMaro:Sure sir I’ll do so. I’m using a 3.5kw Sako hibrid inverter The panels I are 4pcs of 550 watts panels for now. 2 of which are Canadian but I didn’t trust their production. They produce about 76volts together despite having 42 volts written on each. I had to but the remaining two myself. I get about 160v now. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 10:44am On May 15, 2025 |
KudozInteriors: It's simple, your panels are connected directly to the inverter right? All you would need to do is drain your batteries one day and let your inverter charge it only from the solar. Make sure its a sunny day and the readings you see from the shunt will be what's going into the battery.... you are looking for around 75-90% of the stated wattage on the panels when the sun is properly out. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 10:50am On May 15, 2025 |
KudozInteriors:So that's simple, under the conditions I gave, you are looking to get an instantaneous reading of 1.4kw at least at some point. Lets even be sure it can even do one 1kw first sef. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Darey00(m): 10:50am On May 15, 2025 |
Good morning guys, please I need help with my MPPT controller. I can't seem to get it to charge my battery even though there is PV input. This is 10am, I drained the battery to 12.0v overnight and by 7.30am it had already gotten to "full" level at 12.8v and started flashing (mppt mode off), I plugged about 323w of load in it because it was pulling in like 560+w at the time. To my suprise, the inverter voltage went down to 11.9v (22% load). After 2 hours I removed the fridge to about 14% load and the voltage went to 12.1v. funny enough the mppt still maintained that the battery is full and so it refuses to charge the battery or fast. I have the Manual with me and I don't know how to go about it. My system: 12v 200ah tubular battery, 2*300w and 1 585w panel. |
