fuckboys:Please I'm new to this space. I'm in same boat as him and I plan on using your advice. Any suggestion on solar generators. I don't seem to know any. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nobody: 12:57pm On May 15, 2025 |
fuckboys:Boss, do you still advise someone to get a solar Gen? Honestly I wouldn’t advise him to do so. Someday, he might decide to get a freezer or even a Tv, and upgrading will become a problem. The problems you mentioned are not big deal for a 100Ah battery and a sachet inverter. Getting a Cworth 100Ah 12V, 1000watts Sachet inverter, a 30/45amps Felicity controller, and 2 units of 200watts 12V panels will beat any solar generator wrt price. I may be wrong, but this is what I have seen after using Qasa Solar Gen before now. |

wundakind:But if at all you want to go for a Solar Gen just like suggested, then I’ll advise you go for ecoflow, because it’s upgradable (I.e the battery) and efficient too. |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 2:32pm On May 15, 2025 |
relaxfun:Your initial plan to get 200ah worth of lithium to be totally free of generator wahala makes sense if you ask me. Though to be honest, I wish people would just mention their budgets so advice can be short and straight to the point. Also don't go for a solar generator, it makes very little sense unless you intend to be living in different places and be carrying it with you. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Darey00(m): 2:53pm On May 15, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:Jesus Christ 😂😂 I've scattered that controller today and read the manual from cover to cover with no headway. This is valuable insight. Make I go open Target savings to upgrade to Lithium later this year. Thanks boss |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by omotoda(m): 2:56pm On May 15, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:It is more like 80ah Grade c cell In fact, I dont know what this oga is still waiting for. Both the PRO and the installer should be in detention now. All you need tell police is until they provide the quality you paid for, they should not be released.Na small money e go cost you.And you get an independent installer to confirm what they eventually supply before release. How can people be so wicked? In this hard economy? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 3:06pm On May 15, 2025 |
AndroBlaze:This so much. The modular nature of solar means all kinds of functional setups can be designed based on budget. omotoda:54% SoC for less than 1kwh. By my calculations, that's actually around a 70aH battery ![]() I'd personally just ask for a complete refund tbvh. |

KudozInteriors:there are lower capacity panels people label with higher values to rip others off. Something of circa 300-350w is re-labelled as 600w. Wicked world. |

KudozInteriors:I can relate. I have adopted this attitude of trust but verify. Kinda sad that the PRO did this to you and destroyed a multi year relationship |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by omotoda(m): 3:26pm On May 15, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:I thought of that too but the wahala for that one will be long.It is actually the best option in this case! |

This is the wattage I got from the panel this afternoon but the inverter was showing 547watts or so. (NB: I attached picture from shunt below) And on the day this system was finally installed, I asked the installer why the wattage on that hot afternoon was only 300watts. He said that it’s because that’s what the inverter needed from the sun to both charge the batteries and give me light. He now asked me to add more load to it to see how it behaves. I added more load and it rose up to above 700watts that day. He said if I keep adding more loads, it will keep increasing and taking what it needs to both give me light and charge the batteries. I don’t know if this is true though I saw it with my eyes. After that day, when they said that the battery has been dying fast because I was charging it at 60ahms instead of 15ahms. The distributor gave him directions on how to reset my inverter and I don’t know what he did reset on it that day.

You actually don't need target savings for the Lithium .Just assume you want to replace the tubular and use the funds to replace with LFP.Good tubular ranges between 280k-300k.Replacing 2 units is like 600k.That will get you an equivalent LFP. Add some change, you get higher capacity LFP.Shikena!!!If you state your budget for the battery, people will give you more than enough options. |

CodeTemplarr:This is the issue boss. I remember that why I allowed my installer to go on with getting the panels was that I reached out to Fouani then and they were out of stocks for jinko panels 550watts and didn’t know exactly when they’ll have it. I called some vendor numbers from here and they didn’t have at that moment too. I should have just been patient instead of trusting him that he is experienced and knows what he’s doing. |

HeavenlyBang:Not 54% SOC sir I charged it to 91% and discharged to 0% to get that value. The value below.

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 4:02pm On May 15, 2025 |
KudozInteriors:What exact time in the day did you take this picture and was the sun out? Also like someone pointed out, your batteries have never shown a level where they look like they are getting full charge (voltage should be a minimum of 27.6v ).....I am guessing this installer has gone to go and use some yeye lead acid profile for you. In short, I doubt there is a way around this, you will need to do a complete reinstall by a competent person. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nobody: 4:04pm On May 15, 2025 |
odimbannamdi:Some models of ecoflow allows for additional ecoflow batteries. Meaning that you can still buy just the battery and attach to an existing ecoflow system if you need more capacity. |
