That's not money Banker on second level (ABO) after studying a 4 year B.Sc in any course including history earns N800k.

Consultants are equivalents of Asso. Prof. Is that money.

A specialist in the US earns an average of $150k per annum and you say they should wait in Nigeria ?

In Naira equivalent it's N200m per annum inclusive of tax.

Boogeymannn:
That’s false. A resident doctor who just started residency earns about 450k, a senior reg earns almost 620k, a consultant could go as high as 800k

Nigeria Doctors are too narrow minded. They are still the highest paying Civil Servant in Nigeria. The Armed Forces are the most risky work in Nigeria yet they earn meager salaries
The problem with some people is that yes doctor are doing great job but they are not God that healed,a doctor is almost hundred percent sure of coming back home with all his body intact, but it's 50/50 for a soldier yet they aren't earning what doctors are earning.

No resident doctor earns less than 400k in a public hospital in Nigeria as at today. Maybe the 316k excludes call duty allowance
Very correct, though 400k is a miserable salary for a medical doctor or nurse if Nigeria was working sha, e no reach what most entrepreneurs and business owners spend on their side chicks in a month shocked cheesy

Compared with the cost of living in Nigeria that is a good salary

There's no logical explanation why Doctors should earn more than Engineers. After all, seeing a doctor doesn't guarantee one will survive an illness or die.
So you think an Engineer in a reputable company earns less?

Can you also tell us- what your Engineers are receiving as Salaries and Allowances here, for all to see 🙈?
Talk Is Cheap!
If you don't have anything to contribute positively, why can't you just let this topic be?

Me that read Business Administration - 4 years course earned more than them..
A private British school can pay as much, not to talk of Telecom, I.T and oil and gas or even business or NGO
It's just that theirs is for all when good package for other graduates can be for outliers.
No job guarantee the highest all along.

A new Junior Registrar earns less than 400k

Senior Registrars earn above 400k.

Some centres earn some thousands higher than others because of taxes.

No comment. I don't understand the comparison though.

Better keep money aside for abroad treatment, just in case.

It's not about the car, Sir. It's about the info inside their brains.

Anyway, many are leaving now so that they will be able to afford better cars abroad.

I have always said most Nigerian-trained Doctors are ungrateful beings. They are unpatriotic and uènthankful. Pastor Poju said this, and he was almost crucified simply because he spoke the truth. They pay nearly nothing to be trained as a doctor, but they want to be rich like Dangote. These doctors still steal from public hospitals to enrich themselves. Whatever profession, it is a matter of choice and we all go to the same market. You earn above 300k, and you're showing ungratefulness because you want to earn like those in the UK. After all, do we operate at the same economic level?

You forgot to add that almost all of them have private practise where they earn far more than their official salaries.

They mostly use their day jobs as a way of gathering referrals for their private practise
You cannot own a private hospital as a resident doctor. As a consultant, Yes.

If they want to ask for salary increment, let them do ask legitimately and not this their current antics of bullying other healthcare professionals with inconsequential things like "Dr" title and whatnots
If adding Dr. to your name makes you happy, then do it. Lol

What do they have in their brains that others who studied other professions don't have?
Your summation sounds childish

If you want to compare school fees, nobody in Nigeria will be able to pay school fees, irrespective of the Course he/she is studying.

It's not just doctors.

So, for now, let's just agree that every Nigerian is being trained for "free", not just doctors.

Besides, it's not only doctors that are Japaing. Every profession is.

Doctors are not your problem, Sir.

But physicians (in the real sense, they are not doctors) seem to complain more, even though the government is doing what it can. Those who were supposed to complain are the military and the police, and not those who went to school almost for free. Nigerians are not patriotic anyway. A unified world would have prevented physicians from migrating from one country to another, especially when they are training using state resources. If you want to be rich, be an entrepreneur. This ought to be table at UN general assembly
