I am a fan of H.E Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. Why? Because he is a first-class graduate of ABU. He is not a Wendell Simlin whose parents spent a fortune on him to study abroad only to end up being a paid political thug, a divisionist, and a stomach infrastructure crooner.

I think the problem El-Rufai is having is that he probably didn't do a lot of aligning and consulting before he defected to the SDP. And he should have done more of that with popular Southern politicians with high electoral values, because he already has the north at his beck and call. And then, he should also have a more nationalistic perspective or approach to issues affecting the country

Tinubu is good but the truth is the opposition make his work a lot easier than it should be.

How do you have 14m votes and lose to a man with 8.7m. A man who the cabal did all they could to lose?

Today they are talking about one party state. Did they forget PDP once controlled 31 states and Tinubu only 1? Have they managed their parties properly. Why would anyone want to join or remain in LP or PDP?

Their collective incompetence makes it so easy for him! And it’s not good for the rest of the country! You aren’t going to bring your A game if your opposition is incompetent! I’ll give Tinubu an A+ for forex and subsidy removal but there are only a few areas where I can award an A. Part of that is because the opposition is incompetent. He didn’t need 2 years to decide on a Nigeria 1st policy, that should have come on day 1 but the opposition was busy maligning the judiciary and INEC instead of focusing on the job of opposition! Comment sections about Elrufai on social media are now always filled by Southwesterners trying to convince themselves that Elrufai has made a mistake. Shouldn't you all be happy if that were the case? You all saw the capacity of Elrufai in galvanizing the North for Tinubu against the cabals in 2023 and celebrated him for it.

The truth is that APC is turning out to be a special purpose vehicle solely for Tinubu's ambition and the party will inevitably implode by 2027. The Northern electorates as at today will largely not vote APC in 2027 and the best thing that has happened to Elrufai was to dissocciate himself from the APC. Forget the financially induced and forced defections using the EFCC for compromised politicians. Northern electorates are determined to vote out Tinubu and with other political parties becoming infiltrated and compromised by the despot in power, the people will always find an alternative. Proper politicking begins next year.
