I don't know where they're selling average sized yams for 9-10k, the ones I got about w weeks ago are 3 slender ones for 6k (2k each)

It's the time of the year when yams are scarce and expensive. By July/August, new yams will start becoming available. If you and some people can join money to buy yams from the abokis that sell in heaps in mile 12 market, it makes a lot of sense.

I think insecurity contributed to the scarcity. Farming in some places is now considered hazardous.

I visited a rural area for a community project and spent 4weeks. I ate pounded yam with correct egusi soup and bush meat almost every day as lunch .

I ate yam last feb this year,it is xo pretty expensive, plantain 3 small miserable looking pieces is now 1k.

Not "it's like". Yam is now for the elite class. I remember in the past when we used to have foodtech bread,eggs and oats for breakfast. Nigerian economy started getting bad and my mom said we will have to start eating yam as breakfast sometimes. See the yam now, 😂

Or in 7 to 8 months you could join the elite and sell your yam for 9-10k. That guy had a smart solution, all you had was whining and complaining. I'd pick his mentality over yours any day!

Please how do you preserve them? The ONLY problem I have with it is that they spoil easily; like within 2 days. How do you preserve your own Please?
