Have We Considered Luke 12:40 Yet? by Moresalt(op): 7:05pm On May 11, 2025
We surely have to Repent, submit to Jesus and obey His words according to the new testament to be eternally saved before it's too late.

Think of eternity. Even if we have many more years here, being permanently separated from God in the end is just not worth it. Let alone, tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone.

It troubles me a bit that it's very possible that there have been some I gave my testimony at some point in the past who are in hell right now.

I remember a long-time acquaintance. We met again in a second phase and we quite became friends and got talking a bit.

Fast forward to 2 or 3yrs after the phase, we met again at a public space. And he said he was rather shocked to have heard that I became born-again knowing the kind of regular, carefree, worldly life he saw me living back in the days. Though he kind of made jokes about it as something unserious or just funny.

Alas, just awhile ago I got to know he's already gone. It was such a rude shock...

Whether he managed to repent before the end or not only God knows. I can only hope.

The worst part is the second death if unsaved.

Heb.9.27 - And just as it is destined that each person dies only once and after that comes judgment,

Of course, we should hope for a long life but Jesus himself warned that we should always be ready. No matter how good, bad or smart we are, tomorrow is still not guaranteed.

Luke.12.40 - You must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected."

God bless

We have to be ready. Onward, soldier of the Lord.

You could have sow the seed of repentance in him when you met him and he was making a joke about your past life. That was your window.

I hope he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior before his last breath.

Hmm... Maybe it's quite more subtle...

He's a christian, just nominal as common and possibly with a religious/church background.

Hence, I think my testimony was a better seed. Cos he knew my kind of old life, how I was quite popular at school as a prefect and especially with breakdance steps those days...

We are right in the information age. Take your time to unburden yourselves of all of these lies that were fed to you using the name of a God who made clear to you that His one and only people are those who are of the bloodline chosen and named by Him. undecided

Soldier of which Lord? Did Jesus Christ of Israel ever express a desire to recruit for himself an army, though? undecided undecided

2. Ask him when he is reincarnated in his next time— probably been reborn at least once since then too. Maybe he will remember then and tell you.

The God of the Bible gave Himself the title, "God of Israel," sealing Himself off for the Israelites— blood descendants of the man Jacob, to whom YHWH gave the name Israel. huh

This isn't rocket science, though. So? huh

Bread crumbs that fell from the master's table were consumed by the dogs— the non-Israelites ... it was not given to them but rather fell as the children ate the food that was given to them. The food belonged to the children, while the crumbs that fell from the table as the children ate belonged to the non-Israelites/non-children. So? huh huh huh huh

The children's food is that which is holy.
6 Don’t give something that is holy to dogs. They will only turn and hurt you. And don’t throw your pearls to pigs. They will only step on them. - Matthew 7 vs 6
YHWH did not give that which is Holy — His Covenant — to the dogs, but YHWH showed them, even the Egyptians, signs and wonders to affirm His power and claim over His people. undecided

Are miracles holy aka a covenant? huh

I am certain that during his lifetime, Jesus Christ gave a lot of things, including a bowl of food, to others at the table. Are we equally to assume, as you did here, that the bowls of food he passed across to others were holy? 😏😏

If Hebrews 9:7 Says that people die once, what is the second death?
Second death is being condemned to hell... Spiritual death.

Physical death is different from spiritual death...

Luke.12.4 - "And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
Luke.12.5 - But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!

Rev.21.7 - He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
Rev.21.8 - But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
