No all lives matter, these animals existed before humans and have not done anything other than survive. Humans just came and made life more difficult and are still playing victim.
By the way why should human lives be care for more when it is still the humans maltreating humans?

Animals should not be intentionally killed during armed conflict. They should be protected as much as possible, and any harm should be minimized

Perhaps only when we know the intentions behind the killing then we might understand how Africans really feel about themselves
