Every food in Nigeria is now for the elites. There is no food now that the poor can comfortably buy? To eat common bread, you have to have 2000 to eat bread or you will end up eating loaf. Nigeria is traumatizing.

Slave mentality! A mentality of a typical African who has been conquered by corrupt elites and politicians.

The mentality of cowards, a population of over 250 million people can not rise and hold few corrupt elites who continue to mismanage their economy, who continue to inflict economic hardship, who continue to loot their destiny and collective wealth.

Instead of standing up to them, instead of demanding accountability, social justice, good governance and making a mess of these corrupt political vampires, they cowed and believed that growing 4 - 10 tubers of yam in their backyard is the right mentality and solution to their problem.
To you its adjustment, to you it's a smart move, it's surviving, it's whatever the government throws at us we will survive. SHAME! SOMETHING MUST BE ENDEMICALLY WRONG WITH A BLACK MAN

Oya Mr smart man grow everything. cassava, corn, okro, melon, pepper, rice and beans? Is it only yam you want to grow?

When I hear people like you talk like this, I remember how messed up, irreversible and hopeless Nigeria is

it was in this country that a big tuber of yam was sold for 100 naira to 150 naira, why is it 7k today? Ponder and reflect.

Have a good night rest!
Still whining and complaining. Zero solution to the problems highlighted. I still prefer the gentleman's solutions to current problems. Anyone can complain and act better than but... the problems remain.

Yams are cheaper in the North. It would have been a great idea to have someone purchase them for you from here and waybill it to your end, but the cost of waybill is a setback. Over here, 5 tubers retail for 7 to 9k.
which part of the north? Some north yam is not that sweet not good for pounded yam

Stop being mischievous, it's government's responsibility to ensure food is affordable, in Europe and most working nations the cheapest things one could afford is food. Tinubu has failed this country

You cannot grow everything you eat ffs
The government of the day has failed miserably in all aspects and barring a serious miracle will continue to do so
Incase you don't know a key part of any government's duties is food security and curtailing the crushing cost of hyperinflation
Look we get it you must earn your stipends for defending Apcheat online but take it easy grin

Buy those big ones from aboki
There are many aboki selling in benin
Buy 1 basket and make sure it's those big ones
1 basket is 3500,I ate the last one of them I bought on April 30last month day before yesterday
That's basically 15 days ,it could have last more but I was hungry
The yam I bought for 1500 was very small and was already rotting inside
Don't buy those small small ones
Buy in baskets
1 basket is 3500 but price am 3k and buy 500 naira carrot to join your egg sauce ,in case u want to eat it with egg sauce
Look at the body before buying and make sure they are not wet
If they are in a wet environment they will decay fast
When I bought mine last month
I put them on dry bagco bag I laid on the ground and made sure heat or water didn't touch them
Thank you veeeeeery much, bros.
I have learnt from you o.
God bless you.

In a democratic society, we have no choice but to vote better next time. Complaining about the current government doesn't do anything.

I bought one basket for 3500 on April 30th last month and ate the last one on the day before yesterday,if u see how big it was
The last one was heavy ,I ate it with egg sauce and couldn't finish it in one sitting,I had to remain till night to finish it
Even till 12pm the second day,I was still filling full lol
U are saying sweet potatoes tire person.are you going to be eating it everyday
Even when eating everyday,it's better than Yam that's just starch
Sweet potatoes saves gas,and no need for salt and sugar
U can literally just eat it after boiling it
It was after I did my research I didn't understand the hype about yam
We are saying the same thing chief. I love sweet potatoes but the shelf life is the problem. You bought on the 30th of April and finished eating it on the 16th of May. That is less than 18 days. If you keep it for one month, it might begin to change. But yam isn't like that as it has a long shelf life.

That is one advantage of yams over sweet potatoes. You can store it for long.

Yes bros. I now get your point. The ones I was buying before were the smaller types and those ones got spoiled easily. It was so frustrating.

Imagine I was told one tuber of yam costs 6k today. Same thing I bought at #2,500 less than two months ago. I am porting to sweet potato straight, until further notice.
