And if you talk of Friday as work free day .....
Then the traditional worshippers will demand Wednesday as work free days and the Agnostics will demand Tuesday as work free days while the African Jews of Nigeria will finally demand Mondays as their official work free days instead of sitting at home. You think say na only mohammedians get craze for head?

if that's the case, you shouldn't be qualified to go to a university with the certificate, maybe an Islamic college of education if that exists.

What ignorance will do to some people all in the name of religious intolerance ehn. These qualifications are meant for study in Islamic theology and jurisprudence, not for general study. And since y'all have decided to be ignorant and don't want to research, Arabic and Islamic education was the first type of formal education ever introduced in this country. When next you want to criticize Arabic, just know that Arabic was the first form in Africa and many other parts of the world

This line of argument appears watery and flat against all known logic. Are you now saying that because you want to study Igbo language, you will escape passing English language in your waec or Neco since that's not the course you intend to read? No matter your field, you must possess basic knowledge of subjects from other fields before being allowed into higher institutions, that's the requirement.

It's good to read that you mentioned the word 'affiliated'. They do not study on the campuses of their mothering institutions, rather, the theology schools and seminaries have a separate campus. Their certificate only shows that their school is affiliated to those institutions.
I do not know how true this is but if institutions that are not registered as religious institutions accept Islamic studies in lieu to WAEC, NECO etc ,and they study these courses in a secular university...then, we are light years away from getting things right.

Are you so dumb? Didn't you see the circular issued to all schools of nursing to accept the islamic and Arabic certificate instead of waec? Foreign schools that once accepted waec and neco may stop accepting Nigerian certificates altogether when the effect of this lower standard and quota system religious certificate becomes glaring. The north is afraid of competing with their mates, afraid of excellence. Hence their frequent attempts to lower the standard

You should be able to send your ward to a wholly religious school while still being able to acquire professional training.
That's what the board aims to achieve instead of leaving the graduates of such schools out in the cold of this economic hardship. Their curriculum has been adjusted to accomodate this goal and I learnt even people of other faiths are taking advantage of this. So it is not about giving preference to one religion over another.

schools of nursing nationwide have been mandated to accept the islamic and Arabic certificate instead of waec as admission requirements. It was discussed here in nairaland. Muslims pretending not to understand that fulanis only want to lower the standards for their people. Are Yoruba Muslims not blasting waec? Are they calling waec un-islamic? Obviously no. Only fulanis keep looking for how tolwer the standards

Like you pointed out, "Affiliated to", CRS won't get you into these schools. And while you are there, you have to take secular courses, otherwise, you won't graduate. In catholic seminary schools, you study for 7-8 years before you can graduate and become a priest.
Lastly, without passing WAEC/NECO, you are not getting into any of these schools
