If Nigeria was a normal country, things like this would be overlooked.

But things are not normal. Take the actions of those people at face value at your own peril.

Every tiny bit of their move needs to be thoroughly interrogated.

They will never allow this in their domain, what makes them feel others should allow it.
So Nigerians practice xenophobia against one another shocked grin grin grin

Dangote got the opportunity in a peaceful environment free from radicals to settle his investments,

Instead of being appreciative with this rare opportunity but he chooses to repay his accommodative hosts with neglection
Stop being lazy and blaming fellow Africans for your laziness . The Fulanis are more hardworking and Dangote recognizes that. Instead of hating fellow black man for doing better than you in your own land ,hustle harder grin grin grin

All of them should be from the state the factory is cited...what special jobs are those abokis coming to do that they can't get lagosians or even abokis already in Lagos to do?

This is a security threat.
They're not. Already profiled by the authorities.

It's indians populating the workforce we need to worry about. Pay loaders, forklift and caterpillar drivers are all Indians. This is because the vice president of Dangote (Business Development) is Indian. He is Mr Kumar.

So,in essence we should worry more about Indians, not Nigerians from Katsina state.

If this is true then it is wrong very wrong whatever dangote is building in Lagos should create Job opportunity for youth living in Lagos, importing labourers from north is unacceptable when we have much more qualified youths in Lagos Nigeria

Dangote brought Indians, you kept mute because they are not of other tribes in Nigeria.
Now he brought in Nigerians, you are shouting.
Tribalism is very bad.
Tribalism is very yorubad.
Re: NLC Threatens Showdown Over 89 Labourers At Dangote Refinery by Saao(m): 5:55pm On May 17, 2025
The same tribalists can't take what they dish out. The company is owned by dangote, he bought the land and paid taxes to the government, he can choose to employ his people as he deemed it fit. Can a Yorubaman built such in kano or any other northern states? Dangote did the right thing and let all Yoruba nlc go and seat down. Tinubu is in Abuja, he imported all Yorubas from southwest into Abuja including mc oloumu and his gangs who are unskilled but the so called labour law doesn't applied to them. Nonsense

It is against labor laws, discriminatory practices. Employment is what a location enjoys, a location that is giving Dangote billions daily...as long as it is in Lagos, residents of Lagos who have lived here, pay rent, pay taxes should enjoy it, not bringing in people with different mentality and orientation in droves into Lagos, this is a security risk...those people will be allowed to roam Lagos State, no documentation, no skills, they will turn into crime and constitute nuisance...I expect Lagos State government to go to that facility and vet all those people, ensure they are housed and guaranteed or removed from Lagos. Even in America you can't do this.
Story ..

They are Nigerians they have right to work anywhere..

They were employed to work..how does that constitute to nuisance?

If Agberos will do the job they will not call for Hausa in the north.
Like someone said there are some menial jobs that only core Northerners can be humble enough to do

Yes Dangote should employ indigenous people...it is a grave security risk, and reeks of nepotism to be importing workers from North... what is the rationale behind it?

Also, Location must enjoy job opportunities, the state you cite your business where you are earning from should benefit employment opportunities for its residents from you not bringing in people from other regions.

Labour is very correct on this, it is against good sense.
The same manner that Buhari wanted to tap gas from the Niger delta region, lay underground pipes to take the gas to three industrial centres in the north, employ thousands of northerners as work force for processing the gas.
One Nigeria people from the south are mugus.

The Constitution, which overrides any labour law, says there is freedom of movement for any Nigerian within Nigeria and also the freedom of any Nigerian to work in any place within Nigeria.

The rationale behind it is that an Aboki owns the refinery and can employ his people. Go look for Yoruba companies!
I am really surprised that some people think these guys are employees of Dangote Refinery.

These are mere labourers, engaged by CONTRACTORS who are executing projects for the company.

During the construction of the numerous Jakande Estates all over Lagos State , LASG engaged thousands of Youths from the North plus numerous local boys that worked as labourers.

Even down south, whenever people want to do menial jobs like digging graves, soak away pits or gutters, they would say 'go to Sabo and call the Aboki people'
