Graduates of most colleges of theologies in Nigeria have privilege for direct entry to university with their college certificate. I am 100% sure of the affiliation between the Seminary of St Peter and Paul Ibadan and the University of Ibadan.

So why should equation of certificate of Islamic college to SSCE certificate for further study in that line be an headache to them?

Is it the same thing as looking for cheap means of getting into those higher institutions with Arabic certificates? No higher institution abroad will ask you for Islamic certificate in place of O'level results Incase you want to study further.

I think the problem is when the person that studies a religious based course now wants to use that as qualification to get work not related to the religion studied. They can use it to get work in NNPC, CBN etc.
