fuckboys:How much power does this shunt consume? Does anyone know? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 11:17am On May 17, 2025 |
favouredbymercy:i totally understand you chief but out nepa light here is terrible and always fluctuating, I don't want it damaging my inverter so I won't bypass the central stabilizer. What i plan doing is putting a breaker between the battery and inverter, so I'll just switch of the breaker whenever I wanna touch or access the battery since the shock is only on the battery. |

fuckboys:How many panels do you have. Cant you just add more and leave nepa for good |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 1:24pm On May 17, 2025 |
maklelemakukula:i panels are well sized, total of 1680w. My 3.6kwh battery gets filled up before 11am |

If you're living in a rented apartment with a central earthing, disconnect it and install yours it will stop. I had same experience and after I did that (joint 2 4ft earth rods together and drove it to the ground and linked it to my connection) it stopped. Jonescosmos advised me then to run an independent earthing for my setup and it's been working great since then. I later found out that an electrician looped my neighbors neutral to the earth terminal in the DB. fuckboys: |

fuckboys:Try running an independent earth. When you've done this, remove the "follow come earth" which most times ain't effective. |

spartacus11:Call Yemi 0805 two one 5447 one. FYI, that is not me, just someone that I know still have some in stock. And they are original. I bought some from him recently and I checked the serial numbers with Jinko website. He is also a highly recommended installer based in Ibadan. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 5:32pm On May 17, 2025 |
FEGEITOK:what it consumes is very insignificant. 0.45w with the screen on. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 5:33pm On May 17, 2025 |
mctfopt:okay thanks, I guess I'll have to follow this route. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 5:34pm On May 17, 2025 |
Ferdiwar:Yes it's a rented apartment. I'll have to go this route then. |

Don't Buy Lead acid in 2025 abeg.. We just replaced a Lead acid with this It only managed 52,369AH, approximately 261 Cycles less than 2 years e don degrade to 10% capacity ![]() Now we have installed 3.6kwh with 1.5kva Hybrid

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Oshomo12(m): 7:35pm On May 17, 2025 |
fuckboys:Why do you still charge with phcn then? Make me understand. PhCN is your weak link in the system. If you must use Nepa, get a transfer switch. Use nepa when there is light, don't charge your battery with it. I don't like nepa with inverter system |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by favouredbymercy: 8:04pm On May 17, 2025 |
Oshomo12:We are on the same page on this I tell you... |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 8:31pm On May 17, 2025 |
fuckboys:why not take this to a technician to save yourself the stress ? Also, a lot of house wiring don't have (proper) earthing |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 8:34pm On May 17, 2025 |
Oshomo12:mayBe him landLord no gree make He install solar panels. Some people are in such situation. Another set of people believe they have NEPA light enough they just need battery + inverter system to act like their Gen. abi you no notice say na since Fuel add plenty money per liter many people begin rush to Solar ? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 8:35pm On May 17, 2025 |
fuckboys:probably to not stress the battery so it lasts longer. |

fuckboys:How's your battery performing Chief? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Oshomo12(m): 9:01pm On May 17, 2025 |
fuckboys:Kindly disconnect it, if I must charge and solar is not enough, I use gen. Drama too much with Nepa Though you need to rectify the earthing issue. The but is: na landlord house o |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 9:10pm On May 17, 2025 |
Oshomo12:I've always loved the convenience of this transfer switch but its very expensive, is there a cheaper brand or place to get it? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by fuckboys: 9:13pm On May 17, 2025 |
CuteMaro:it's close to 3 weeks now of active usage and I've never drained the battery no matter how hard I try. A Fridge and a 43" smart TV with 2 ceiling fans all night has refused to drain the battery. It's very good. |
