Fearurcreeator:Most of these guys are ignorant because they have never set foot outside Nigeria so you must excuse their lack of knowledge. It was only recently a 'japa' Nigerian, in the UK, was lamenting that he cannot even go for a beer after paying rent and bills from his £2000 take home monthly salary because he is left will less than £200 after payday. Anyone with half a brain will understand that Tinubu's reforms, though painful now, is to achieve a socio-economic status that facilitate Nigerians earning living wages and not just surviving from hand to mouth as has been the case under every President since 1999. Living wages is not what Nigerians were earning under GEJ and Buhari whereby most enjoy subsidized fuel, electricity etal yet take home 40k or less a month, that barely covers their monthly transport cost, meaning most Nigerian families, talk less individuals, will never own a home, a car or even be able to ever holiday outside Nigeria. When you earn a living wage, as obtains in many developed nations of the world, you would be living and not just surviving because you'd be able to buy a home on a mortgage, have two cars in your family, holiday abroad with your family at least once a year etc, etc. Many Nigerians are simply too addicted to subisdy trap impoverishment, Nigerian leaders have weaponised against them, to ever appreciate they are living like animals in comparison to others. Those Nigerians will never appreciate that it is worth bearing with a few years of reforms, necessary after decades of us doing the wrong things, to gain a socio-economically commendable life where they have all the things that dignifies a human being and validates what is a desirable life rather than the life of deprivation, hunger and frustration most Nigerians are born into and will die with. |

WizardOfNG:Thank you. May I ask you? With all this your grammar why are those in diaspora performing far far better financially than people living in Nigeria, since according to your gospel the finish all their earnings on bills. Please stop already. |

maybet081:Buddy, ask anyone who knows the diaspora as a matter of experience and not dem say dem say alone, those "far far better financially" in the diaspora are Nigerians with professional skill in medicine, IT, Accounting etc. It is their far above average earnings, which most of the population of the UK cannot earn, that insulates them from the "living to pay bills" reality of many western nation. If you want to 'japa' to go and do menial work in the West then better to remain in Nigeria. Everyone in the diaspora will confirm what I am saying. Most Nigerians are prone to being refugees because of the nation we come from but those who have choice , and know what living and being alive truly is, are even moving away from the West most Nigerians wish to "japa' to. When you spend virtually all your earnings on rent and bills, and have no saving, in nations with depressing weather, crippling loneliness, non-existent social life etc, then that is not living. It is grinding. Listen to those speaking from experience and stop arguing blindly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2uOU1nhgPY?si=hh5wuX7kvkaOqTZD |
