I disagree. Let Kanu remain in prison. What's the worst that can happen? South East won't vote Tinubu. Well, 3 Presidential elections have been won without South Eastern support.

If Kanu is released, it makes Obi lose some political support in the East. Therefore, some of his voters will go to Atiku and some to Tinubu. Atiku's votes must not be allowed to mix with SE votes. Therefore, Kanu must remain in jail till after the elections and Obi must also contest. That way, Kanu holds one part of Eastern political base, Obi holds the other and then, SE Governors deliver 25% to Tinubu.
