Oga, with my experience with AB-INBEV that was a pre-interview invite. So no blame me if I got that assertions too. This recruitment wey community people dey disturb. I guess that's why things are like this.
you keep mentioning Ab-inbev like they use the same manual of recruitment with Chevron. Please just relax when invite drops everyone will know and there's nothing pre-interview. It's either you get interview invite or not

That guy @ezenwaez does not deserve to be in this group.. sometimes is surprises me to see unsuspecting ones still believe the nonsense he has been posting from day one.

I thought he would change but no.. the hunger for 1k sales is still dragging his head.

I think the last three questions will determine who they will employ.

P&ID is a major document an operator needs to function and the interpretation is very important to the job function.

Any one that also answer that breaking of flange question wrongly is gone. If you break a flange wrongly, you can expose an asset to a hazardous situation.

Either way, anybody that works in oil and gas as an operator will agree that those question are likely questions.

Irregardless of the argument for or against the interview invitation, those questions are close to what can be asked in an operator interview
Hunter102:
The interview later held today and they asked this questions :
What is PPE , and mention the basic examples of PPE
what's operator routine duties and why is it important
What's HUEST and BOSIET in offshore
What's P&ID, and what are the scenarios that can make you use it
What is zero energy state of an equipment and how can you achieve that
What are the precaution to do before breaking a flange containing oil and gas

Ten questions in total, but I cannot remember the last 3 questions
It is chevron from what the guy said(agbami deep water)

While these questions are likely. The pattern of the questions is what is unlikely. Anyone who has done interviews lately will attest to the fact that most questions asked are likely behavioral and situational and requires impromptu thinking

How about for the wells engineering role? Has Chevron started contacting folks for medicals or for any further inquiries?

Asking for a younger friend.

In as much as you are correct, the advert states that you should have some level of experience. The operator role is minimum of 3years maximum of 10years or so. Meaning the job role needs a minimal level of experience. I have had the opportunity to attend operator interview NOT chevron, P&ID questions and separator questions will always come up. Remember your intended Supervisor, Supretendent or even OIM will be among the interview panel. They will ask technical questions. The difference between the person that will be called two days after interview and the person that will be on waiting list is how you answer the questions asked by your line manager. Imagine answering behavioural and situational questions very well and you don't know what you will be do incase of high level in surge drum. No line manager will approve your employment

For the first recruitment that came out in September, almost all the roles have done interviews but no offer letters out yet. People have completed medicals but are yet to receive offer letters
Thanks ExperNler.
Any idea if people are being called sequentially in order of roles that received background checks/did interview and which roles have been called for medicals?

Try to understand the kind of question to expect in an interview when you write a technical skill test and when you write aptitude test. For you to pass a technical skill test, the interview panel already know you are sound technically. Going back as low as asking what is P&ID as an interview question for some one who has passed an operator technical skill test sound childish. At this point, they are looking for other aspect of your ability not your technical ability. More of the questions are situational questions that required instant thinking or explaining some situations you have handled in the past as well as behavioural questions to know how you fit into the company goals

Well, a lot has been said so far. My take from it all is that the "May" test candidates which includes Electrical Specialist etc have not been invited for interview.
So if the next month talk and the community disturbances are true, then we just wait.

Let everyone calm down. If the invites start coming, I believe that guys here will post the position or any other relevant updates.

Restructuring is ongoing in Chevron, globally about 10% staffs will be disengaged, another recruitment will take place by June, and it will continue for the next five years.
Concerning the operator skill test and invitation, I learnt Chevron needs extremely few operators about three operators are needed, due to the restructuring in Chevron applicants for other positions are to exercise patience as soon as the restructuring is concluded then the next phase of the Chevron Nigeria Limited recruitment will commence.
