The most expensive food item in Birnin Kebbi is Yam. I bought a single Yam for ₦2,000. Is this a fair price?

I don't think they ask about pay per hour before selling you stuff in the market, or you'd just send a low earner to go get it for you cheaper.

That's the amount I bought yams of around that size about 2 weeks ago. Shouldn't such foodstuff be cheaper in the north?

Places like kebbi are not known for farming yam.
It is cheaper in Benue and Nasarawa.

I pay Labourers 5k here,for daily jobs.

The minimum wages is #70,000. It's not 2k per day.
