I thought night is safer! Our congested roads would be freer and safer. Truck drivers should rest all day. Just my opinion.

This rule has been in effect since 2017 in one of the major oil companies. If a truck is found being driven in the night, througj the GPS system, the driver gets sanctioned.

If law enforcement agents will not turn this to money spinning venture by extorting erring tanker drivers.

Always churning out nonsense. Is night not safer for the trailers to move than in the day time when the roads are filled with far higher volume of road users. It's far riskier in the day than night for the safety of other road users.

With this, I'm just imaging how Lagos Ibadan express way and Benin bypass would be if fully implemented

I've managed and worked with tanker and truck drivers. They are always intoxicated with substances. Nigeria is not ready yet.

A serious country that really wants to tackle this menace will have the FRSC with breathalysers stopping theses grim reapers at random and testing them.

From Crystal Meth, to Colos, to Tramadol, to Cannabis, to Rophynol, to adhesives, lizard shìt, skunk, sewage gas, codeine and the likes, these guys inhale, ingest, and inject them all. Since they travel long distances too, they usually stop over at red light districts to join proceedings at any available theatre of desires, along the way. So, these drugs come in handy as uppers and aphrosidiacs.

That's the reason tanker crashes and the attendant raze seem very high in Nigeria. The leaders are archaic, retroactive and plain stupìd. If not, I don't see why this problem seem intractable.

Shouldn't that be the actual time they should drive, so we have less issues of accidents, trucks/containers falling on cars, etc?

When they say education is a scam, show them our leaders.

A country where people don't have WASSCE Certificates, but they lead PhD holders. Smh

Night driving for tankers is better than day for the safety of motorist.

Night movement is better for combustible materials. The weather is cool and there are less vehicles on the roads.

Isn't night even the best time for them to move when the road is less crowded and should accident even occur, casualty will be at its minimal?

They don't monitor the tanker drivers properly at night They lost revenue. Is safer to move at night ,prevention of accident etc..but the lives don't matter again in nigeria, but money does.Good way of making money kudos FC

Long overdue !. But there should be alternative ways to channel and move fuel, like through pipes or trains. I don’t even support movement of something as hazardous as that anytime of the day. It is simply a ticking time bomb irrespective of the hour. It should be taken away far from where humans occupy.

the alternative you are talking about, is it available?

Night driving for trucks I believe it's not that bad as compared to when the roads are choked in the day time.
