Toast Bread With One Full Egg by Crieff(op): 3:01pm On May 22, 2025
Hello Foodlanders,

I really would like to know how to toast two slice of bread with a full egg inside without the egg spilling out into the sandwich toaster.

The clips I saw on YouTube does not use the full egg. How is this done? Two slice bread, buttered with a full egg in between the two slices.

TY.

First you need to whisk the egg. Then patiently add the egg little by little. Bread is absorbent so you allow it absorb the first spoon of egg before adding the rest. Those that make toast bread for sale use up to 2 to 3 eggs per toast for some orders and nothing spills

Let me enlighten you.
After applying butter on the bread, use the knife to make holes into the bread in many places then just put the bread on the toaster and pour the whisked eggs!

A lot of the toast bread I have eaten have the yolk whole after the toast is done and not scrambled like you described it.

Moreover, it will take a whole lot of time to get a scrambled egg on a buttered slice one after the other. Thank you.

Interesting. I'll give this a try. Thank you.

It's possible, but you'd have to make it in a pan
It's called Egg-in-a-hole.
Pan made toasts are the best anyways.

Use a round glass cup to cut out the hole.

That can still be done. First you put the egg white into the bread and allow the bread soak it before putting the yolk and cover it immediately with the bread as soon as you put it. If you want to add stuffs like peppers, sardines corned beef etc into the toast, you might need to whisk the eggs.

That's a very creative pictorial "egg-in-a-hole" toast strategy you have here. I like the fact that you bring up nifty culinary solutions from time to time.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hello Mr Konquest.👋🏼👋🏼

Thank you, but those pictures are not mine though.
I had to get those to show the op for clarity, since I don't have it in my food pics collection.

I've been inspired by the pictures to make something like that, but with a little twist of my own.
At first, I wasn't interested in making that style of egg-toast due to lack of flavour, until I got inspired.
I'll show it to you when I make it.

Have a pleasant Sunday. 🙂

You suppose to be operating a restaurant of your own. Don't you think so?

When I was younger, we had a toaster that didn't have a bread-slice divider, now it's so hard to get one. Back then, I enjoyed a sandwich toast bread with the full egg in the middle of it. I now wonder why they don't make those any longer.

Re: Toast Bread With One Full Egg by Queengee: 6:24pm On May 25, 2025
Add whole milk to the eggs to make it plenty and more richness. Then whisk together, besides that's called french toast and not just bread toast. Bread toast is just toasting bread without adding anything
