Which is a better option?

650W Jinko Solar Panel

Or

650W Bifacial Solar Panel (Used don't remember the brand)

I was told Bifacial Panels tend to capture more power.

Not sure if Jinko Has Bifacial Panels

I am a Novice

Bifacial panels are mostly a waste of money unless set up properly. Just buy the Jinko and rest.

Dam5reey recently did a video of the 1.5kw Haisic inverter carrying an inverter AC rated 1.5hp on a battery of only 100ah till it died (over an hour)! Lets see a lead acid lover try that test with even a 200ah battery!

It seems that Haisic inverter is the real deal so you maybe able to get away with it occasionally.
I power my 1.5 hp Genpal inverter AC (on gen mode level 1) with my 1700w Afripower hybrid inverter and 2 tubular batteries from 10am -2pm.

Since you're a novice, you should be worried about the originality of the panels you'll be getting. One way that works well is buying from Fouani directly, Fouani have not had 650w jinko available in ages so I advice you get 620W from fouani. Fouani also sells Ja panels too and they are original. Here's a picture of some Jinko and Ja panels available in fouani

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Iinnov8: 3:01pm On May 24, 2025
If you are unable to install solar panels due to landlord restrictions OR you manage to get up to 4 – 5 hours of daily grid supply (nepa or gen) and you just need a budget renewable solution for the period there will be no grid supply OR you just need certain special appliances (such as your Starlink router or work station) to be constantly powered on a budget, then you should consider our beginner-friendly, affordable and flexible On-grid Power Solution.

most people do not leave room for the bifacial to reflect rays and generate more power. Just dump it on the roof and expect magic.

They should be vertically mounted in an open space. It should be the best orientation. I don't like this technology.

Meanwhile, I think Sako just thought outside the box of!

Stumbled on this power bank that Sako has. It uses a single 280ah LFP cells!

I have feeling the price will be dearth cheap. 😊

Not mounted vertically, but rather with space underneath, ideally over a reflective surface, to capture reflected sunlight on the rear side of the panel.

The tilt angle should be around 10° to 40°, depending on the region of the country.

Mounting it on a roof wastes the bifacial power gain and unnecessarily burdens your roof with more weight, as it is heavier than an equivalent conventional monofacial PV panel.

Jinko has bi-facial and in theory yes, bi-facial capture more PV due to its use of both sides. Obviously dependent on how you install it.

if the prices you are seeing appear off the chart, and you're here seeking advice; possibly on where to get those within your budget, may I say you need be careful so you don't end up shooting yourself on the foot.

Lithium cells / battery ain't cheap. if they are, it's because corners were cut. if you can't afford the quality ones, you're better off not venturing there at all. We all mustn't use lithium batteries
What is special about LiFePO4 batteries that we all must not use?

Did you not read the part of my post where I mentioned I can handle batteries? I have built other battery types that are even more complex than LiFePO4 and I don't see any big deal in doing same thing with lithium
