You obviously didn't follow our argument since last year January, no wonder most of you dived into argument, taking sides erroneously.

Timbros, Lordfalcao and co wanted Colwill, and our full backs replaced. I was against it and told them that our poor defence last season was largely caused by injuries that we only needed Silva's replacement i.e Tosin and we shouldn't waste funds buying more defenders since Colwill and co were expected to be fit for this season. We didnt waste funds on defenders as Timbros and his ignorant friends wished and we saw improvement in our defence as Colwill James and even Fofana contributed to the improvement and not forgetting Cucurella that Unlimited22 wanted replaced. Today, our defence performed as the 3rd best in the league without following Timbros wack and unnecessary suggestions.

Only jakujaku Jackson stood between us and competing for the title as he fired 27 shots without a goal and 13 consecutive matches with just 1 goal. Yet we managed to qualify for Ucl. With a prolific scorer, we would have competed strongly just as I suggested when Timbros and co were arguing blindly for over a year.

If you, Lordfalcao, Kimbeast and Timbros have shame, you shouldn't mention my name in your posts as you follow your Jakujaku Jackson to Dakar after Wednesday.

You were all about support casts and against getting a shiny striker to replace your adopted Jakujaku boy, Jackson.

I kid you not bro. 92 mins of football, and apart from one failed square pass (where even then Sterling went into a brain jam), our RW and LW did not create a single chance for a striker position. Not one single chance. Zilch, ZERO!

The tactics were spot on. The structure is setup to isolate wingers in 1v1 situations, and I counted at least 20 times where Sterling and Madueke found themselves combined in that situation. The tactics also has at least in every attacking event, a minimum of 5 players arriving in the box.

But not one single time did these two ninjahs make any single chance. I mean, not one single chance to score from. And the problem is that even though this is positional football, both those players don't understand positioning of others around them. They first want to run with the ball, before computing space and positioning of others. This is why you see them running into traffic, time after time after time, despite having 5/10 yards off space only moments before. And this is the fundamental issue we are going to have against low block teams.

It's a serious situation we have. Substitute those two for any unknown, but technically-minded players and they would have created at least 5 scoring chances.

This is a crisis and a serious emergency.

This is the nuance. Only 1 of those big chances fell to the striker yesterday. The other 3 fell to Enzo, Madueke and Sterling. All 3 failed to convert a single one.

If we had the prolific Halaand on our side, the score would have 4-3. If we didn't, but had say Nico Williams on the left, Olise on the right, and say a Lampard type midfielder instead of Enzo, it would have been 5-4 in favour of Chelsea. That's the other half of the story.



We need to score 80 goals minimum to stand a chance of finishing in top four. 87+ for top 3 and 90+ for top 2.

A prolific striker is only going to get you 25 (PL only) of those. Where's the rest going to come from?

Before we can even be serious about competing. We need 2 world class CBs, not one. Think Saliba, Van Dijk level CBs. Competing in the PL and the CL at the same time is no joke.

we should start by getting one first, be it Murillo or Huijsen or someone way better, if we can get anselmino to play or loan him one year in Europe we may get our own saliba.

Enzo is not the only midfielder we have but he makes us incredibly, technically and tactically unbalanced in the middle. Also, politically, because we spent 100m on him, coach after coach has a political mandate to protect the asset in the club's interest. Whereas many he needed dropping, it didn't happen. We could have bought Guimares and McAllister combined for less, and still have change to buy Guiu.

to think allister you mentioned used to be a number 10 and isn't even Liverpools dm, notice how poorly he and szobo were till Ryan came in as their 6. It's down to coaching and Enzo is still our best central midfielder, except you want to replace him with a box to box midfield in the mold of Pogba Vidal and there are not many that good so it's still down to coaching

We need to proceed as though Lavia will continue to have fittness issues. A Caicedo, Essugo and Santos middle 3 is strong and combative defensively, but lacks dynamism, and experience offensively.

we mainly use 2 midfielders and maresca needs to know when to play Enzo and when to bench him. A Santos and Caicedo combo may work for physical teams assuming lavia isn't fit and to rest Enzo as well. I don't know about Chelsea's plan for essugo, he may leave along with amougou, carney and ugochukwu or stay as a sub option along with hall, but I don't see him replacing Enzo. None of them can be as creative as Enzo in the middle

Madueke, Sancho, and Neto forward line is unproductively weak, offensively. Few goals, few assists. Whilst I don't mind keeping them for fixture load, they cannot be our first choices going into the season. If they are, we should concentrate on the league and forget competing in the UCL.

those three are still better than most, if mudryk had don't be pushed aside he may have used this season to improve, the main issue I see with sancho is that pairs better with goalscoring players than caring the burden of scoring goals. I said it last season we didn't need sancho, neto and felix, season end I am proven right, we just wasted mudryk and whatever sancho played, george could have played. one olise could have been better. That's past tense, estevao is present and moving forward we need to sell and invest in a solid 9, sadly they would go for an under 23 again, delap, not a bad option in a market filled with average options
