DMerciful:Now you are talking. That is one of the compromises I am referring to. For me, the key thing is to vote out bat in 2027. The incompetence and arrogance is nauseating. |

And the best way to do that is by not contesting. Because I don't think Nigeria can stand your failures. |

Toks2008:Maybe if i had not witness 2019, i would have taught so my that an Atiku/Obi will remove Tinubu. I am one of the few Nigerians that dont forget easily, You can do things the same way n expect different results. nah if they could not defeat Buhari they cant defeat the "brain" behind Buhari two victory |

ivandragon:Maybe IF Jonathan was under 18, mama peace for decide for him But that man looks over 18yrs to me. I have never seen where a WIfe decides for a politician, even politician say one thing today and the next day they are saying something else. I think i now know why you are deliberately evavisive. 2027 is not an election of who we love, cos Tinubu is definition of naija typical politics, think everything bad with our politics thats Tinubu forte ... its not about i love Osibanjo or i love Obi oo ... its fully about who ticks all the local politics factor boxes |

ivandragon:He's free to work with the north and other regions, but he should not VP anybody, we all know VP is just a spare tire. He can't achieve the "consumption to production plan"as a VP |

dederocs:Yeah i agree Dangote refinery is boosting productive and adding emersely to our GDP. but you see All that Tinubu did this is a big lie for the gullible, lets take it one by one The coastal road is yet to be completed or benefited from, you can quote it as an achievement, The tax reform bill is yet to be implemented, when we are yet to see the impact that is not an achievement yet Local govt autonomy,🤣🤣🤣🤣 you be 10yrs old boy abi you no get eye, The highest court gave verdict since august 2024 till date which state have implemented local govt autonomy ... is lagos state, baba sope is hand picking n imposing or Osun state where local govt don shut down or Rivers Tinubu n wike is dictating how local govt must run Finally you mentioned devolution of power, are you a " Joke" where ?? in a baba sope regime that re impose Obasa on House of rep from abuja, devolution of power where a baba sope removed a sitting governor n suspended all the political structure in a state. You dare talk about devolution of Power in a baba sope Regime, pls dont comment until you reach 18yrs |

chidiokay:Me? Evasive about what? Twice mama peace has said GEJ is not contesting and the GEJ said nothing. Are you closer to GEJ than mama peace? If the opposition cannot put its house in order to remove the evil in aso rock, then let the evil continue to reign there. The bottom line is the facts speak for themselves, without the backing of the North, bat cannot be defeated. No southerner politician today can stand up to bat, politically, financially and 'underhandedly'. The north holds the aces for 2027 and it knows this. Nigerians are effectively caught between 2 evils, let bat continue or let the north help push him out. It can afford to wait till 2031 and get its 8 years, or be allowed to be the front runner in 2027 and help push out bat. Mind you, in the present democratic dispensation, the north has done 11 years as against the south's 18 years (by 2027). |

ivandragon:How can you be telling Mama peace saod this said that, Is Jonathan a child, that we call her mama peace Does it mean Jonathan her little boy, she will speak n decide for. Since you have being following politics, Is it wives that declare their politician husband ambition, If Titi atiku declare Atiku wont run for presidency again ... you go believe ?? naa your Wife dey decide your own Life Yeah, i am glad you understand North Factor exist, most socialite speak as though we are in America ...in their head, zoning dont exist, structure dont mean anything ... ignoring our local pecularity factors is the leverage Tinubu uses everytime to win. South stil have 4 more years, North wont renege e sure me, its left for opposition to be strategic. |

Maybe your house is so disorganised that your own wife can openly make such categorical statement about you. |

| Re: I’m Not Desperate To Be President, I Just Want Nigeria To Work - Peter Obi by chidiokay: 10:39am On May 26, 2025 |
dederocs:okay buh even at that, what meaning structures are in place or going on to enable or foster discentralized power generation system. I see that many of you usually get carried away with academia prospect of this initiatives, you easily fall for it even when the politicians you dont trust say it .. but it far beyond that Where are the workings, Nigeria govt is making everything i learnt in school sound like gibberish to me. whatever goes up must come down so we learn, But in Nigeria even parachute wont cum down ![]() |

chidiokay:Your state governor have the capacity, to partner with investors on that, state governors have the funds and the capacity to encourage private investment in their state power sector. |
| Re: I’m Not Desperate To Be President, I Just Want Nigeria To Work - Peter Obi by chidiokay: 12:28pm On May 26, 2025 |
dederocs:I believe that push the narrative, " hold your governors" are deliberately being mischievous understanding how centralized Nigeria structure are. Maybe academic purposes, i fit support your what you are facing But understanding the terresterial factor of naija ... nah From our history, it is more feasible to hold FG accountable than governors sef. |
| Re: I’m Not Desperate To Be President, I Just Want Nigeria To Work - Peter Obi by dederocs(m): 1:33pm On May 26, 2025 |
chidiokay:It reeks of ignorance to hold FG accountable, even if the lay men don't know, at least you understand the concept of federal structure, and you know that state governors are given allocations monthly, not holding governors to account is a disservice to the growth of states. The governors are voted into power same way president is voted in, and the governors swore an oath to the people not the president. |
| Re: I’m Not Desperate To Be President, I Just Want Nigeria To Work - Peter Obi by chidiokay: 2:13pm On May 26, 2025 |
dederocs:it sounds irrational, but does anything in Nigeria ever align with "sense" ... thats why some of us stick to realistic approach From our reality, its feasible to hold FG than hold your governors, Forget how it sounds naa the reality or record make you check Governors owe workers salary or refuse to implement minimun wage n nobody can hold them But FG cant get away with it Our system and structures are to centralize, to discentralize will take a us years and consistent efforts. You are right by Logical standard, But this is Nigeria tailor your solution along our local pecularities. common local govt chairman e hard to hold dem accountable, forget big big english go n try to see your local govt chairman 1st |

aswani:^^^ He is entitled to his opinions. They won't have a direct impact on policy, because he is a private citizen. Far more sensible for challengers to focus on the 'public' citizens who actually make policy. aswani:^^^ Not sure what your point is here... aswani:^^^ That's exactly what I'm doing. |
| Re: I’m Not Desperate To Be President, I Just Want Nigeria To Work - Peter Obi by aswani(m): 10:05pm On May 26, 2025 |
Fujiyama:As he is entitled to his opinions, we are also entitled to our opinions on his opinions. |
| Re: I’m Not Desperate To Be President, I Just Want Nigeria To Work - Peter Obi by Fujiyama: 2:05am On May 27, 2025 |
aswani:^^^ True. And I am also entitled to my opinions on your opinions. Just as you are entitled to your opinions on my opinions about your opinions. And the beat goes on... You are perfectly within your rights to think of Obi as an opportunistic grifter. For all you know I may hold exactly the same dim view of the man. But one thing is crystal clear: it makes no sense to continuously devote considerable bandwith in the criticism of opposition politicians like Obi, Sowore, Atiku etc. - politicians whose views are essentially meaningless in terms of policy impact...all the while giving an easy pass to those who are actually in government and who are messing up big time. It makes no sense at all. In the end you will be forced to concede that it isn't opposition politicians who are burning a hole in the public purse on the worst kind of frivolity - frivolity that the BAT administration has justly acuired a notoriety for. It isn't opposition politicians who have failed to get a handle on the security issue - after ten long years of the same party in power. It isn't opposition politicians who have consistently failed to deliver any kind of meaningful public sector reform - after ten long years. We could go on and on about these multiple failures. The constant refrain of BAT's so called 'courage' in removing fuel subsidy and unifying exchange rates has worn very thin. Nigerians are tired of hearing about it. Those policies are all he refers to as his so called achievements at every opportunity he has. Interesting though, that he never has anything to say about the chronic inflation that accompanied those policies - runaway inflation that he clearly does not have the capacity to contain. Noteworthy how he is silent on the exchange rate volatility that has become part of the reality of business planning for the sole proprietor and the big time industrialist alike in this country. BAT is not the man for the job. Criticizing opposition politicians 24/7 will not alter this simple truth. |

Fujiyama:You have actually made some excellent points to which I doff my cap. This is the exact kind of post I like to read on this forum from people whose views I don't share but with something that I can learn from. However, the bottom line is, Peter Obi, Atiku and Sowore are not sacrosanct and anyone that feels the need to question whatever they say or do should be allowed to regardless of how President Tinubu is performing. We can't wait till President Tinubu turns Nigeria to an utopian behemoth before shining the light on others. We are all accountable for our opinions on whoever. If an imbecilic Obidient unfairly lampoons President Tinubu, I will express and have expressed my opinion, same as a Batists on Peter Obi. Query what people are saying not who they are saying it about. |

This man is a very talented liar. You are not desperate to lead Nigeria and you have been moving from one party to another since. Now you are about forging a coalition with Atiku to run on the same ticket like the 2019 elections in the 2027 general elections. This man is a pathological liar, I don't blame him though, I blame his clueless and mob-like followers. Shhhmmmrrrrr |
