Timbros, Lordfalcao and co wanted Colwill, and our full backs replaced. I was against it and told them that our poor defence last season was largely caused by injuries that we only needed Silva's replacement i.e Tosin and we shouldn't waste funds buying more defenders since Colwill and co were expected to be fit for this season. We didnt waste funds on defenders as Timbros and his ignorant friends wished and we saw improvement in our defence as Colwill James and even Fofana contributed to the improvement and not forgetting Cucurella that Unlimited22 wanted replaced. Today, our defence performed as the 3rd best in the league without following Timbros wack and unnecessary suggestions.

Only jakujaku Jackson stood between us and competing for the title as he fired 27 shots without a goal and 13 consecutive matches with just 1 goal. Yet we managed to qualify for Ucl. With a prolific scorer, we would have competed strongly just as I suggested when Timbros and co were arguing blindly for over a year.

Apart from Dembele who Barca foolishly spent more than 100m for, non of the Bundesliga players that move to other leagues cost 100m and most of them still flop.

That is the philosophy of Todd Boehly, and Behdad Eghbali, which I'm very sure Abramovich would never have embraced. It was a big gamble, and we were fortunate it paid off, next time, we may not be so lucky. Yes, we need experienced players, though I do appreciate the idea, because the young shall grow.
(But are the fans ready for that? Can the fans truly wait for these lads for like 3-5 years to mature, can the fans allow these kids turn our club to training ground?
Abramovich don spoil us, he built this team for glory not for training ground for upcoming players .

Mehn…. It feels good to be back to where we belong but if we can set emotions aside, Maresca isn’t the one to lead us anywhere.

People like Airmark who don’t know ball will think we improved defensively, but we rather play conservatively to limit errors and give up attacking dynamism in the process. Hence, our attackers struggle badly and our best attacking player has become a shadow of himself.

I don’t like Maresca and I hope the board will be smart to go for someone who believes himself to be a winner.
