Saudi authorities have barred and deported prominent Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, from participating in the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, despite initially granting him a visa.

Sheikh Gumi confirmed the development on Monday, May 26, 2025, by posting on his official Facebook page. He explained that although he received a visa for Hajj, he was denied entry into Medina, where he was scheduled to commence his religious rites.

According to findings, Gumi was among a group of clerics sponsored by the Nigerian Hajj Commission to offer religious support during the pilgrimage.

“Due to some reasons related to my views on world politics, the authorities in Saudi Arabia do not want me to be present at Hajj even though they have granted me a visa,” Gumi stated on Facebook.

There was an event in Ogun state some weeks ago, the traditional people were passing Infront of a mosque, before they got to the mosque which is beside norma road, they put off their songs and music yet the Muslim from the mosque attacked them with weapons, Igbadi claiming they have no right to pass I front of their mosque.

The very good thing about that even is, I have seen reasonable number of Muslim coming out to condemn the mosque

Also, we can't blame everything on religion. There are barely consequences to actions in Nigeria hence the reason those retards attacked the traditional worshippers. The retards knew that police or anybody would not do anything. People would just wail and shout and that would be the end of it.

Many actions are not triggered by religion but the failure of the laws to uphold. You can't go to Saudi or Arab nations to steal because Sharia law will be used and the result is extreme hence the reason crime rate is low there. We're humans and once we know that there are consequences to our actions, we tend to become law abiding.

Nigeria politicians and the people would travel abroad and behave themselves but when they get back to Nigeria, they continue their reckless way of life. Consequences is a necessity.

There is a law in Ogun state which mandated the traditionals to always put of their music whenever they are passing Infront of Church or mosque. Those Olorisha did just that but yet the Muslim attacked them questioning why are they passing Infront of their mosque. Government road for that matter

Why is Nigeria still sponsoring private citizens on Hajj? I don’t believe or trust Saudi. They are just embarrassed that people have been rightly pointing to their country as supporters of terrorists in Nigeria. Now they are punishing their Nigeria slaves. They need to be more proactive about what they write in their religious books, which is open to interpretation by these criminals.
