As the boy grow, he no be anybody mate for street. Fast like Usain Bolt, strong like Anthony Joshua, fine like Wizkid if you squint small. Anywhere war dey, dem dey call am. But the guy dey move with pride wey high pass Third Mainland Bridge.
Then one big gbege burst: Troy carry Helen, one babe wey fine reach to cause wahala. Greece vex. Dem call all their champions. Of course, Achilles follow go.
As war start, Achilles dey scatter everywhere. E be like say na cheat code dem use create am. But as usual, ego enter. The Oga of the Greek army, Agamemnon, collect Achilles babe — one soft, quiet babe wey him dey like, Briseis. Achilles vex. He talk say he no go fight again.
Omo, as Achilles park go one corner, Greeks dey chop beating like say dem be JSS1 boys. Warriors dey drop like flies. Everybody dey beg am, baba no gree.
Na that time him main guy, Patroclus, carry him armor, talk say “Make I go fight small.” He wear Achilles' gear go battlefield. People think say na Achilles show. Confidence high. But na set up. Hector — the main guy for Troy — jam Patroclus. Finish am.
When Achilles hear am?
Chai. Omo e pain am like heartbreak.
Anger wey he never feel before enter am. E no even gree talk. He just rise, wear armor, carry him correct sword and enter battlefield like thunder.
He chase Hector, beat am blue-black, finish am no mercy. Then he drag the guy body like danfo wey dey enter gutter, round the town.
But even madman dey calm one day.
The dead boy papa — King Priam — come the Greek camp in the middle of night. Baba old, kneel down, dey beg Achilles. “Abeg, give me my pikin body. I no get anything again.” Achilles look the man, remember him own papa. Na so the fire calm. He return Hector body.
But e no end there. One day, one guy wey no sabi fight — Paris — hold bow. Come dey hide. Come shoot arrow. God Apollo help am direct the thing go that small heel wey no touch river that year.
Boom. Achilles fall. Just like that.

But forget.
Even though he die young, Achilles na legend. E name go still dey reign like Fela own. Na so life be. Sometimes na small thing go bring down lion. But if you live with fire, them go remember your blaze.
