Hamas never envisaged the Israelis response, all their top leaders are been assassinated, they can't fire rocket at will again, resistance to the IDF almost wiped out, most of the remaining foot soldiers have gone into hiding or become women and children, protesters are tired, etc. I believe you saw how many Hamas came to release hostages, where are they now in that number on the battlefield?
Israel is not committing any crime in Gaza, no sane country will overlook any act of October 7 on its citizens and since Hamas hide among the civilians, the civilians can't be spared altogether because Hamas must be destroyed.
Asaad and the houtis did more that this with no justifications, and the world turned blind eyes to them. Israel didn't start the war, go and tell Hamas to release Israelis hostages and surrender, those are the only conditions to end the war
