Luke 21:25-28
[25]“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
[26]men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
[27]Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

@topic It's a little of both for me. I'm looking forward to Jesus' return but at the same time, I'm a little scared of how it will be and hoping that whenever He comes I will be prepared. I try to live ready for His imminent return but sometimes it just feels as though the world won't end and things will just continue as they always have. Lord help me. Maranatha!

Verse 27 speaks of events that took place almost 2000 years ago, events that culminated in the destruction of the land of Jerusalem and Judaeh. So, why are you Christians still waiting for it to take place? The people it was meant to happen to already welcomed it and moved forward from it since then— those of them that survived. So, why are you Christians expecting this same past to be your future?

It's the biggest deceit of the mind

The sudden appearance of Jesus Christ on the world scene, his ascension to and appearing and revelation on this high mountain is the end of the indignation that led to the great tribulation a la Moses, Gideon, Jephthah, Samson etc
