I'm sure that most of they 'we are from Lagos gang',dont even know what VAT means.
If all the oil companies decides to remit their VATs to the communities where they are mining the oil and all the banks and telecom companies decides to remit their VAT to the communities where they render services and not the headquarters in Lagos. Those from Iragbaji in Osun or from Ekiti or Ondo will stop disturbing our peace that they are all from Lagos.

We have the pictures, history and many more of Lagos for at least 50yrs before Nigeria ever came to existence. Nigeria, thru her colonial masters, beneficially selected Lagos as her capital because Lagos already had all what it takes to be a capital city, even ahead of some capital cities in Asia and South America. I'm sure many cities in your region today were just farmlands, hunting forest or waste lands as of 1850 when Lagos was already a blooming port-city, transacting with the likes of Liverpool City port etc.

Comments like that don’t need to be here, they’ll attract reactions and the thread will get messy. The mods need to act so people that make such comments can find something better to do with their lives.

From experience it’s usually the lowest of the low in the society that make these comments, those who paste account numbers all over social media. If you had anything good going for you, Igbos won’t be in your head when you wake up in the morning or go to bed.

Do you know that VAT is consumption tax? Do you know that VAT placed on finished goods makes those goods expensive? What do the majority of oyo & ekiti indigenes do as work? Probably state civil servants as they are really educated. So you want civil servants to be paying more for goods and services in this terrible economy where inflation is depleting the purchasing power of fixed income earners just so that you can jump up and be tribalistic?
