I mentioned this about three days ago, there are three players in our team who play like die-hard supporters of the club. They may have been fans even before we signed them, and this shows in their level of commitment.

The first is Jackson (please don’t judge him by his number of goals, I judge him by his commitment).
The second is Cucurella, and the third is Caicedo.

After our last game .. I personally thank caicedo and cucurella... for a reason best known to me and that's not skills or talent but commitment.

Thank God you noticed the commitment too, that’s exactly what I’ve been saying. I’m not talking about talent here, but about those who play their hearts out for the team. I’ve watched those three closely, and that’s what I see in them. James does have the commitment too, but because of his on and off due to injuries , I didn’t include his name. As for those three, they don’t just play as players, they play as fans of the club.

Baba, Babayaro made me start supporting Chelsea and since then my passion is second to none for the club that brought me joy with top level football. Watched loads of Chelsea matches and that moulded my high expectations of the present team, after spending billions on players.

Just qualifying for Ucl alone makes me feel better and I want to get back to winning major trophies every season and to achieve that we must do the needful. Sickening that we spent 100m on 1 midfielder but we were parading a man whose legs are not straight in front of goal. I believe that ends with this season.

Chelsea must go back to the top.

Celestine Babayaro.

I am a "leftie" (and left footed when playing ball) so I have this natural love for left footed players...

In Atlanta '96 my best player was Celestine Babayaro. And when, a year after our Dream Team victory, Chelsea signed Babayaro, I just start following the club.

Although in that late 90s, we don't have DSTV or other cable TV to follow premiership week in week out like today, I have this big bros that don't miss any edition of 'Complete Football International' and 'International Soccer Review' full colour glossy magazines. That is where I get all my updates and happenings in the world of football. NTA then have a program every Saturday evening "Weekend Sports".... I don't miss it for anything.

That was how my support for Chelsea started until gradually we started watching games live in big hotels that have cable TV...

I'm cool my guy. The partisanship on the other thread just turned me off this place. The fact that respectable people on this section actually support the negative things happening to this country and are very proud and vocal about it is really nuts. One needs protection from that kind of evil.
