It is normal for a lot of people to cook with added oils and salt, because this is what they see others doing, but where cometh many diseases people are suffering from today? Extracted or added oils are unnatural, unwhole man made substances people add to food for taste, colour or nutritional intake. However God and nature have given you no such oil, when you cook, fry or roast with extracted oils. Inflammation happens, this continues as you consume this foods. This can lead to cells damage, heart problems, fat accumulation and susceptibility to different diseases. Most Food naturally contains oils if needed, you don't need to add extra. Oil is present in whole grains, beans, herbs, vegetables, etc. I do not advocate animal consumption, but oil is also in fishes and meats. Cook your foods without added oil, your body and health will thank you. Salt is a rock not food, your body needs sodium not salt, there is sodium in salt, but salt is not sodium. Again, sodium occurs naturally in foods, you don't need extra. It is present in whole grains, beans, etc. Added salt or sodium can easily cause high blood pressure, heart problems, unhealthy weight gain, laxative ness and various diseases. Cutting out extracted oils, added sugar, salt and artificial seasonings will benefit your health greatly, but the problem is food would no longer be so tasty. You will have to resort to natural herbs and vegetables for food spicing. This also comes with more health benefits, but will you be disciplined enough to make this diet changes until your taste buds and composition adjusts and gets used to it? Lots of the diseases we suffer from today can be cured or prevented through diet alone, what you eat affects you both physically and mentally, medicine your food and make food your medicine. |

Reverseng:One of the best things that you can do for your health is to reduce or eliminate oils completely from your diet. The reason? Oil is not a whole food, it is an extract of the original whole food's fat. This type of product does not exist naturally (is manufactured) and does not provide food for our body as a whole package that our body has experience with. Pure oil, being 100% fat, is plainly put hard on the body, and gets worse if that oil is refined or heated. Research has shown regardless of what oil it is, it results in immediate inflammatory effects, which lead to health risks down the road, especially where cardiovascular health is concerned. (Please study Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, a top cardiologist's work. Quick example below.) No Oil -- Not Even Olive Oil! - Caldwell Esselstyn MD So your main benefits from such an action would be: 1) Decreased calories in your diet (1 TBSP of oil ~ 120 calories) benefits for weight loss and/or optimal weight maintenance. 2) Decreased inflammation = decreasing your risk of chronic disease, especially heart disease improved conditions for body's natural healing ability. 3) Improved digestion (less bloating, more regularity), as oil tends to interfere with digestion especially when consumed with carb- or protein-rich foods. 4) Improved energy; oils are hard on the body and tax its resources/optimal function. 5) You will save money (no more need to buy oils, which can be an expensive addition to diet depending on type and quality) On a personal note, I didn't need to lose weight, but I removed oil from my diet over half a year ago, and haven't looked back since. It is such a cultural conditioned response to use oil, when there is truly no need for it, and we are that much better off without it. Cooking is easier, quicker and cleaner, and meals have none of that oily smell or residue.
