Unlimited22:Rodrigo ticks all the boxes for us. RW, LW and CF. He can make that LW his as that’s his best position. Then when we have Jackson or Delap not playing, the Brazilian can still be shoehorned into the CF position. He’s that good. For all his profligacy, I still think we need to keep Jackson around. His press game will count against certain teams. It’s important to have players with different distinct profiles in a team. |

Unlimited22:Yeah, I agree—it could definitely become a problem, especially if Cucu keeps inverting. That said, I’m not sure it’ll be that bad, considering our fine boy Aba Ronaldo barely ever tracks his man anyway. |

diggz:Most of these chap’s clips I saw prior to him signing for us, were actions from the LW and he was never this bad. His linkup play is superb. I see no reason he shouldn’t excel playing out wide. |

Griffon:rodrygo isn't vinicius he doesn't tick those boxes for us, especially cf. it's not like madrid would sell him |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by popizaino(m): 3:37pm On May 29, 2025 |
BlewMahn:Thank you. Yes he is. I watched one were he scored from the left-wing though and it's quiet recent. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 3:38pm On May 29, 2025 |
Griffon:Exactly this! For all of Jackson’s shortcomings, I still wouldn’t let him go—especially considering the fee we paid for him and the fact that he hasn’t been completely underwhelming. If we can keep him as a third striking option or someone who can play from the wing and link up with the No. 9—like we had with Drogba, Anelka, and Kalou—I don’t see any reason to let him go. |

Chelsea have enquired again for Jarrad Branthwaite and advancing on talks for Jorrel Hato. Blues ideally want 2 new defenders. we are counting defenders that chelsea are not even counting on |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Whizlight(m): 3:52pm On May 29, 2025 |
diggz:First off we stopped keeping the ball for far too long and rather keep our defense water tight to avoid conceding thereby making just one goal capable of getting us 3 points. Get him the right players and watch him keep winning. At a point he got us in the title race if not injuries and drop of form we could have had a better season. Poch could have flopped this confernce league believe or not. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Whizlight(m): 3:53pm On May 29, 2025 |
Griffon:We are signing Viktor and Delap no fear |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Griffon: 3:55pm On May 29, 2025 |
Enzo5:Vini that is only limited to the LW. Rodrigo can play from the right, left and center. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 3:57pm On May 29, 2025 |
Capaldi:You too dey recommend nonsense. Nobody wants that old Serie A flop that can't run, that will be waiting in box to be spoonfed. This is not Leverkusen where we create numerous box chances, any striker we get must be able to play from halfway line up |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 4:00pm On May 29, 2025 |
diggz:Jackson is a confidence player. He is not someone that can stay bench and come in and shine. If Delap comes, Emegha should come as his back. Between both is just £45m. We will easily get £30m for Jackson in market |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 4:02pm On May 29, 2025 |
lordfalcao:That no consign me. He is 3rd wing option. Palmer starting RW, Estevao bench and Ecuador boy 3rd option. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 4:02pm On May 29, 2025 |
BTW we should bring Carney Chukwuemeka back. We would regret selling him especially if someone converts him to a CM or DM |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 4:10pm On May 29, 2025 |
Enzo5:We don't need any more centre-back, we only need to tighten the midfield We keep looking at problem where there is none Colwill, Fofana, Chalobah, Tosin is a very serviceable backline without even thinking of Sarr Get a fit Lavia or a DM of his ilk and nobody will be talking of centre-back. How many bloody centre-back Una want buy, chasing rats while the roof is burning Centreback is one of the lowest hanging fruit positions in football. Once your midfield is tight, you can win everything with a 6.5 or 7/10 centreback. Joel Matip, Akanji, Stones and bloody Otamendi are proof |

Whizlight:Firstly, if your eyes weren’t as blind as mine, you wouldn’t have quoted my post just to type nonsense. The post you referred to was clearly about Caicedo being played at right-back, and me suggesting the board make Maresca sign a contract to end that experiment—because Caicedo is clearly more effective in his natural midfield role. Secondly, please take a moment to actually read the first paragraph and the earlier post properly before jumping in to reply again. Thanks. |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 4:21pm On May 29, 2025 |
Ibime:Yeah, I get your point. I was just looking at that left wing as a potential opportunity to try him out and see if he could thrive there. But if we end up signing those two players for £c45million , then yeah—£30 million for him sounds fair. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ballzproblem2: 4:23pm On May 29, 2025 |
Seems like we'll still sign another striker after delap, and we'll make statement signing,we are so back! Transfer dopamine starting to feel like when boehly was in charge , only that this time the team is more stabilized. |

This mean possible sale of Jackson and other mids ,it safe to say there's tears in my eyes 🥺 |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Enzo5: 4:33pm On May 29, 2025 |
Ibime:chelsea look to already be signing hato probably as back up for cucurella. they are obviously going to sell chalobah you listed, fofana may be sold considering his injuries anyway even without both, tosin and sarr are solid CB options, I agree we don't need another CB but if they decide jarrad would make us better so be it. I don't know how you want to tighten a midfield that has more than six players, counting just dms caicedo, essugo, lavia, santos, ugochukwu. don't know how many dms arsenal and liverpool have, or even city or how many we are going to play in a game where maresca mostly uses 1 dm with a full back inverting. maresca could have kept ugochukwu as an option for lavia, I think he tried to use veiga as a dm. Is it that you don't see santos as a good option to fill in for lavia? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Enzo5: 4:40pm On May 29, 2025 |
Ibime:instead of selling 23yr Jackson for that amount, they better exchange him with emegha, at least with Jackson strasbourg could enter europe. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Enzo5: 4:42pm On May 29, 2025 |
diggz:ya or better still use him as a left winger till january in case it doesn't work. The prayer is if saudi club can come and buy him. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Enzo5: 4:44pm On May 29, 2025 |
30m for a 23yr epl striker with 10+ goals in 2 consecutive seasons is theft |
