Hello to everyone. I have this 2006 Prado 4 cylinder petrol engine with gear issue precisely slippage. I would like to know if the issue can be fixed, do you have any mechanic with track record in fixing gear that can fix it, lastly how much does it cost to get a new gear?

Every input will be appreciated. Thanks

Yes that has been done but it's still the same thing. When you shift to reverse, it just stay there with nothing happening and could be there for 3-4min until you rev hard before it eventually engage it.

U cant afford it bro,predominantly no be for poor middle class like u,the gear is almost 3m and that's if u find good one. Sell the car as scrap for 2m and move on

My brother you suppose understand na.

If u like dont listen to me,gears cant be fixed in naija,even if they sweet mouth u,the gear would never remain the same again. Sell it as scrap. The gear is way to expensive.assuming dollar was like 800naira,ehen u fit see gear for 200k,250 max.but na prado.prado na big man car,andthe worth might not exceed 800k in reality but u know omo igbo go inflate price by 200% which might end up being 2.5m.

I don't even have plans of repairing as I know there's no guarantee from past experiences but sometimes you just want to hear other people's experiences also just in case. As for advice of selling as scrap, it's not even an option. Once again thanks for your input.
