Factcheck0001:it depends.... If tinubu continues to rule for 20 yrs which is not possible then Nigeria will be like Europe... In Europe u do 2 to 3 jobs to pay your bills.....it's already happening in Nigeria... U must now have multiple streams of income to survive Tinubu's economy.... D only issue I have now are d corrupt politicians.... That will steal d money for development at the end of the day |

Ttalk:You mean right track to poverty all this stats no hold water alaye bcs no be statistics we go chop ![]() The only significant indicator that reflects a nation economy is her currency value and purchasing power. Nigeria had more foreign investors during GEJ, Yaradua and even PMB. I can tell you for free that there's no or little foreign investors in NGX. The likes of P&G even Unilever has exited Nigeria major market. And as we speak Liberian Dollar is now currently trading at 1 LD = 7.66 NGN meaning that Naira is the worst performing currency in West Africa. So where is the right track bro ![]() |

Obasanjo was the best considering the Naira did not lose much value in the first two years. Anyways, the economy is rebounding. |

When the currency is poor, people tend to buy stock, when currency becomes strong, people sell stock and buy currency, people invest their money in stock when the value of money depreciates faster and reverse is the opposite. So, that explains the whole stock gaining and losing. check on the dollar equivalent of the stock value will explain that better for you. |

ryloy:It wasn't the price of oil. Two things led to the destruction of the economy under Buhari: 1. His meddling in the exchange rate. He started fixing the exchange rate. He openly said he does not believe in devaluation. What do you think would happen to the Naira with declining oil prices? The Naira would naturally depreciate. Since he hates devaluation, something worse began to happen. The differential between official rate and the black market rate began to widen as buyers who couldn't get forex offically started going to the black market. Lamido Sanusi said the differential between the official rate and black market rate should not be more than 3%. The World Bank was even more generous by saying 5%. There was a time the official rate was $1-199 while the black market was 500. This was around March 2017. This was over 200% differential! This led to crippling forex shortage. His meddling in the forex and Emefiele's enabling the nonsense, and even compounding the problem, led to severe forex shortages. These shortages was what led Shoprite, Emirates and a few multinationals to exit Nigeria. To understand why there was severe forex shortages, let me use you as an example. Imagine you were sent $100 through Western Union, would you change it at the bank at 199, when the black market is 300? No! If you won't change your $100 at that rate, what of those bringing in $10m? People would prefer to hold on to their dollars. This would obviously lead to forex shortages. |

The haters of good news are at it again! Fake news, propaganda, na lie.............! When Amnesty Int'l released their own statistics about the numbers of people who have been killed and the communities that have been displaced in the two years of this administration, they believed the news to be true! Good news always make them unhappy! |

Factcheck0001:Right track to increase the poverty. How the stock market performance is yardstick to measure standards of living. As inflation is getting higher, stock market, companies and money market will seem gaining more increase in figure but in reality no value to positively impact standards of living of the people with that increased figure. Because cost of living is now higher than ever, more money interms of income less value in market |
