President Bola Tinubu will today, May 31 2025, commission 11 completed road projects across Nigeria while flagging off some others.

Physically Commissioned Projects

1. Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway

First 30km section: Ahmadu Bello Way (Victoria Island) to Eleko Village, Lekki Peninsula

Location of commissioning: Kilometre 8 near Jakande Estate, Lagos

Virtually and Physically Commissioned Road & Bridge Projects (Total: 11)

2. Lagos–Ibadan Expressway (Shagamu–Ibadan section) – 166.8km

3. East-West Road (Eleme Junction to Ahoada) – 94km

4. Alesi–Ugep Road, Cross River State – 67.1km

5. Ikorodu–Shagamu Road, Lagos/Ogun States – 30.4km

6. Enugu–Lokpanta Expressway (First 16km of 61km under rehabilitation)

7. New Artisan Market Bridge, Enugu – 75m dual-span bridge

8. New Bridge at Akpoha, Ebonyi State – 75m single-span bridge

9. Port Harcourt–Onne Junction (East-West Road) – First 15km

10. Lagos–Badagry Expressway (Agbara–Seme Border) – 48.6km

11. Rehabilitation of the Lagos–Badagry Expressway (additional section)

12. Section of the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway.

Projects to be Flagged Off by President Tinubu:

1. Ibadan–Ife–Ilesha–Akure–Benin Highway
2. Nembe–Brass Road
3. Reconstruction of parts of the Enugu–Onitsha Expressway
4. Abakpa Flyover, Enugu State

The signs that in the next 100yrs successive governments both at state and federal level will still be playing politics of road building.

Every single year, every government builds never ending roads that will be destroyed in few years, and the cycle continues.

Tinubu commissioned Former President Buhari's projects. Buhari awarded and paid for those projects. Tinubu wants to take glory for Buhari's projects.

Hope this will lead to more roads creation.

But let me digress small...why are Nigerians very stupid or Evil or senseless, I don't know the actual word, it is as if really we black people are lesser human beings.

Okay so the place I reside, they connected us to a new Transformer, the transformer is ready to go but the electric people said it has to be commissioned by one of their Oga first before being put on. This is now 4 days without light because we are simply waiting for someone to come and snap and cut tape, meanwhile this person probably sleeps with light every night meanwhile we here are just waiting in darkness till they come?


Is it that they can't just on the transformer, then when the Electri ppl come they can now do their photo ops?

I mean seriously how can I describe Nigerians as a whole? I just don't know. Are we naturally opposed to development?
