Success in Jesus name, but pray about it and the location matters. Don't always announce your dream in the public space. God bless you.

I’m not a prophet or seer but I can tell you this business will fail 100%, you will get a lot of enemies both physically and spiritually. Within 1 year you can’t give account of the 10m

Dear Nairalanders,

My company asked a couple of us to resign, services no longer required. I was paid a little above 10M and I will be venturing into lending. Microlending. Please say your prayers for me and wish me well. I will appreciate all you prayers and encouragement too...

Thank You and Regards,
I am begging u not to do that,
Look for a bank that has big interest rate and invest half in fixed deposit and use the rest to start a business,
Nigerians will wreck u in money lending business
Re: Going Into Lending Business- Wish Me Well. by drehdinho(m): 1:53pm On May 31, 2025
Of all business, it’s lending business you are looking to get into.

I will advise you try scrape business or information marketing. The later can earn you digital marketing position in companies later on.

Borrow Nigerians money at your peril, except you run a an iron-fist mob that people would fear and tremble when their repayment date approaches, it may not be a very stress-free / profitable venture.
As in... he must first buy guns, hire strong jazz man then get competence military and legal personnel at his neck and call..

It's a good business but you must be willing to fight some people, insult others, arrest some people.

Also my advice is to lend only to civil servants, they are the only people that are sure to pay back cos they have job security
U spoke well but I would advice him to avoid civil servant especially in this present economy.

Thank You and Regards,
Start first by offering people loans for business without using your money

Like solar loan
Water and the rest

The Loans will be given by the bank
See if you can get commission from it

Run that for atleast a year before putting down your money

Your 10 million is like 6000 USD

Only a business you have done well enough
Or something you really know can get you profit on that money
Or just use the money buy lands

But lands been one of the safest can be risky too
You can let me me know if you are interested in property business

Please don't go into borrowing in Nigeria . You will regret it please . Invest your money into something meaningful. You can invest in real estate or keke Business with 10m in real estate you will get 4.5m yearly . In keke invest 7.2m you will get 4m in 15months .with borrowing you always be at the Police station or court hiring lawyers up and Down. The real estate this is my 3year and keke l'm a year old

Please before you start your lending business, ensure you have all the licenses required to start your loan business. Don’t say I didn’t warn you o. Some people will take you to court if they can’t pay back their debt and look for ways to twist it that you are not legally allowed to lend money to anyone and they will win you in court.

I am quitting salary work very soon and this lending business is among where my direction is but in a lower scale to avoid major issues as Nigerians including me don't like to pay back debts. Add POS too, if you're in Lagos or city with larger population you can try Keke Napep transport business, it pays too.
