Lagos State’s GDP has reached $259 billion (PPP), making it Africa’s second-largest city economy after Cairo. The Lagos Economic Development Update (LEDU) 2025 highlights strategies for economic resilience, fiscal sustainability, and revenue growth.The economy grew from N19.65 trillion in 2023 to N27.38 trillion in early 2024, with GDP projected to hit N66.47 trillion in 2025. Despite this, the tax-to-GDP ratio remains low at 2.3%, prompting a push for better revenue collection.

Lagos aims to generate N2.79 trillion in 2025, focusing on property taxation, expanding the tax base, and formalizing the informal sector. Fiscal expert Taiwo Oyedele suggests bold reforms, stating that Lagos could generate up to N5 trillion annually in IGR, solidifying its economic dominance.

There's nowhere in the post where she specifically said Nigeria isn't one.

I never mention Nigeria is not one… I am a realtor in Lagos so I know Lagos real estate more than any other states in Nigeria .. that is why I market Lagos with full confidence and knowledge.. kindly read through post and make sure you understand before putting up negative comments.. thanks
