Laslas, it will only be a standalone road. The probability of its connecting to the Lagos end is very slim. The BAT people know what they are doing. They're dodging the most difficult terrains of the so called coastal road i.e Edo, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers. By the time the south south people realise that they have been deceived, time is gone. What they should push for is the coastal railway meant to connect the Niger Delta capitals to Lagos, which was earlier estimated to cost about 11billion dollars.

For those of you asking s I l l y questions about Cross River part now sited close to the ocean.

Cross River doesn't even share boundary with the Atlantic ocean. Simply checking the Nigeria map would have prevented you lots from embarrassing yourselves because of deeply-rooted hate. Una don move from bashing the Lagos portion to concentrate on Cross River. You will be disappointed again.

You know common sense isn't common. I rather judge the project once it's done. I have no degree in civil engineering, I have no clue how complicated the project is. I wish nigerians will learn to stop nagging a lot for the sake of nagging.

Failures have nothing to show Nigerians except an uncompleted road after wasting trillions of naira that should have been spent on small scale businesses to create employment for people but when you remember they said their government is awalokan, so the endless failures is more or less a tribal cultural thing of their people
A bitter soul like you would see nothing good in this government. Did you say tribal? Oh! what could be more tribalistic than the show of shame displayed in your region with the return of 95% of votes cast to a particular candidate and turning back to accuse others of tribal sentiment. The same'failure' approved regional commission and a campus of NCAT for your zone, yet you see nothing good in him. The same 'faulure' elevated 3 of your kinsmen to supreme court when you had nobody there before he assumed office, the 'same failure' is repaying 69 different loans obtained by previous successive governments,Even,if Tinubu donates long life and prosperity for a hateful soul like you,you will still spew gibberish.I challenge you to name a particular region where a big project is not being embarked on as we speak.Do you know the number of credit schemes that are being made available to businesses,do you know the tax reform bill is aimed at bringing srelief to many small businesses? I agree this government is not perfect but coming out to play your ethnic sentiment because your anointed candidate was beaten silly in the last election is unacceptable. Try and be objective in your analysis and stop wailing irresponsibly

The construction technology used for the coastal road alone beats whatever road that already exists. Yesterday, when Tinubu said something about building something that will outlast all of us, he knew what he was saying.

They need more areas for hub, railway & infrastructures like hotels etc. The sea might be miles away.

Currently one doesn't have to go through the East. Also, what's the problem with going through the East? Is it longer or does the land sting?

I don't know how old you are or if you have gone by road before but I perfectly recall driving through Delta State straight into Rivers State and on to PH in my youth - several times.

There were other times we drove through the East.

But the question remains. Are you allergic to the East or something?
Re: Calabar And Akwa Ibom Section Of The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road (Pictures) by cjudy(m): 7:13am On Jun 01, 2025
Let’s do the maths.
750 KM

30 KM was done in 2 years meaning 15KM every year.
750 divided by 15 = 50.
It’s going to take APC 50yrs to complete this project.

Thank you shamelesssss citizens
