Yorubaland is for the Yorubas, Igboland is for the Igbos, and Hausaland is for the Hausas. How does that translate to igbophobia ? No one is saying Igbos should be harmed or anything extreme just that they should focus on developing and residing in their own region Ironically, it’s often the Igbos who are hostile to other tribes. We’ve seen indiscriminate attacks on Fulani communities, and figures like Nnamdi Kanu openly inciting violence against Yorubas living in the SE. The author of that Facebook post seriously needs to have their head examined. |

Codepain:saying the truth will not kill you. Who are those on record that have attacked other tribes all over the country ? Who are those that flogged and bloodied the Igbos and igbo looking people including yorubas from voting in 2023 elections ? Your problem with the Igbos is that they don't bow down to anyone, they don't do baba so pe politics but you just hate them for the things a particular group you love repeatedly come on air to claim responsibility for. Say the truth for once so we can heal this country because the Igbos are not your problem |

KillahPriest:Igbos killed a man in Festac, Lagos, just because he voted for Tinubu. We’ve even seen videos of Igbos in the South East beating up a man simply because he voted for a Yoruba candidate. Igbos don’t bow to anyone except Kanuri. why would I have a problem with whoever you choose to bow down to? Nobody’s suffering from Igbophobia Make everybody dey in dey

Good2go1:the 6 months of the ibos led to the war Imagine if they are allowed again coupled with the fact that till this present day they never realized their mistake that led to d war |

I don't mind the tripe written... that's usual Ip0B talk. But claiming another person's identity & tribe is where I draw the line. Be proud to be Ibo.. yes there are 99.999999% reasons to not wish to be one. |

KillahPriest:If you want to understand the Yorubas(at least a large number of them) or would I say the tribalistic ones, you have to back in history before Nigeria was created, go back and read how they lived with each other as kingdoms then you will begin to see why they behave the way they behave especially to the Igbos... I might still write an article or a book about them, and it might really piss them off but it will be based on my research and as long as I'm speaking the truth, anyone can rant as much he/she wants... It was something they should have adjusted over time, some did but a large did not and some are still adjusting though... When you understand what I'm talking about you will know why Nigeria should have never been one from the start. |

Codepain:And yet you people supported a Fulani man called Buhari to be President for 8 years even though herdsmen from his tribe were killing Nigerians in every part of the country? |

Some also Argue that Hausa has not ruled Nigeria before unless Gen Abusalami is Hausa then that will mean Hausa ruled Nigeria for 10 months |

Where are all these fo0lish people crawling out from sef?.. that they are using Yoruba names even makes the whole situation more baffling. What exactly is Igbophobia?.. is it like physical face-off or attacks or what exactly?. We all live, work amd do business together day in day out despite the disagreements and reproach for overstepping boundaries. I'm proudly Yoruba and I love to see those who are proud of their roots be it Hausa, Igbo, Itsekiri, Ijaw, Igala and whathaveyou.. I love and respect those who are original, feel good about their identity and own up for their acts not play victims. The Igbos have benefitted far too much from Yorubaland than what any Yoruba dead or alive has benefitted from Igbos and Igboland.. is it free education, is it free healthcare or employment opportunities that Igbos have benefitted from Yorubaland that we want to start mentioning or the hundreds of thousands of Igbo kids littered all over Yorubaland?. What exactly do these people want? You want to take over our lands like the erstwhile colonialists did while we look on, applaud and do nothing?... is that what Igbophobia nonsense is about?. |

Codepain:I tire o.. how will you hold someone tight in the neck and ask him not to scream for help?.. They want to reduce Yorubas to beggars and street urchins in their ancestral lands while they go about taking up jobs, elective posts and whatnot meant for Yoruba people. This was the exact same thing Akintola fought against in the 60s'.. what likes of Zik did appointing just 3 Yorubas in UI, Ibadan, then gave Igbos all the appointments (over 180 slots). Just imagine the nonsense, and it's not as if Yorubas are getting employed in their South East. They openly state it that only indigenes can get jobs in SE but Yorubas are still acting like what I don't know in this era and time. |
