After 2 years of Tinubu’s administration, it’s now time to properly rate him. And in this piece, I’m going to set aside my dislike for him and his values, and focus only on his actions so far as president; particularly on the reforms he has engineered since he came to power.

That decision is a reckless decision which is very callous and insensitive Those allegations about not going to school might be true after all, He just make decisions without proper thinking or research He thinks power is by showing you are in charge and can do anything, I am the boss kind of thinking Now see the results |

The removal of the subsidy without any plans to cushion its effects on Nigerians was the most wicked and draconian decision ever made by a president of Nigeria |

Penguin2, you have not finished |

Nigerian masses is the child (according to your analogy), you removed the oxygen helping that child breathe to save money to buy cars and boats. Even after removing the oxygen to save cost, you still borrow money and there is no meaningful change in your household, so what is the use of depriving that child the oxygen it needs to survive. That child needs the oxygen to survive while the doctors treat the child so that he would no longer need the oxygen to survive. Only an irresponsible parent would watch their child suffer while the parents are feeding fat from the money that was supposed to be used in bringing a little comfort to their child. |

Cherry picking like his principal If those who matters are praising president Tinubu's for the reforms and policies, why should we take the opinions of those who might not even be relevant politically in their family seriously |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by SarkinYarki: 10:27am On Jun 01, 2025 |
Tinubu has not improved a single economic or social index in 2 years , I mean not a single one , all he has done is to make life worse in Nigeria |

Sangoamadioha1:Fantastic submission! But the only difference here is that while in my analogy, the parents of the child is permanent, in practice, as it relates to Nigeria, the parent (president) is not permanent. So, while we may currently have a parent who, instead of using the money saved from the removal of the oxygen pipe from our sibling in the hospital for the good of the family chooses rather to use the money to take concubines, buy cars and engage in several other profligacies, tomorrow we may get a parent who is not like the current one and he will use the money judiciously for what it should be used for. And then the only gratitude we will owe our former parent was having the courage to see through the removal of oxygen pipe from a sibling who had rendered all of redundant. |

But truth be told, ,the civilised understand that Nigeria is on the right path with tinubu policy at then end of his tenure by 2031,we should consider a young modern northerner! |

And why must the masses bear the brunt of the reforms? While does the political class continue to bask in excesses? |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by Obaaderemi2: 1:27pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
ivandragon:Because they're in the majority so they'll feel it the most. That's not to say the moneyed class don't feel it too. Subsidy thieves and forex roundtrippers who used to make billions per day also won't like this government. Some of them are in a coalition against the present government. Meanwhile they're not better and they also don't like the masses |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by asfrank(m): 1:37pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
People fail to understand that the 2023 appropriation Act made provision for subsidy up to May of that year only. It just made his work easy, since there was no budgetary allocation from June upwards. |

| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by ivandragon: 3:54pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
Obaaderemi2:I am talking about the political class. Have you seen any political office holders cut down on expenses? You talk about subsidy thieves and forex manipulators, why hasn't the government gone after the economic saboteurs? Was it the masses that were manipulating the subsidy and forex markets? Where buhari and bat better when they were in the opposition? Given thier antecedents, did they show any sign of liking the masses? Anyway, usual excuses for incompetence and greed... |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by Obaaderemi2: 4:25pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
ivandragon:By the time you handle a leadership position you will understand better. No politician likes you. But it's better to have someone who would come with helpful policies than a liar who would continue to ruin the economy but still steal |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by ivandragon: 5:30pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
Obaaderemi2:That you have probably not held any leadership position does not mean others have not. When bat was against reforms in 2012, what was he? What is the sense in reforms that enrich the political class but impoverish the masses? You think bat and his cronies not stealing? Someone that has populated his government with known thieves. Bat is a liar and deceitful character and his whole history proves it. |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by Obaaderemi2: 6:10pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
ivandragon:Ok. They should have just continued paying subsidies and borrowing money to support the naira. BAT is a thief, just like Atiku and Obi and the rest of them. None is clean |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by ivandragon: 6:58pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
Obaaderemi2:Why is it now that you, bat and the rest have suddenly realised that N215:$1 is too low and fuel at N145 is too cheap? When you were all protesting, didn't you all know that paying subsidies and borrowing to support the naira was bad? You cannot preach righteousness without first owning up to your deceit. If circumstances have changed, then bat should come out and say so, and not act as if he is some sort of evil demi-god. The arrogance is nauseating. Yes, they are all thieves, agreed. But at least the pdp had been consistent about subsidy removal and not lying like bat. |

surgical:What he did is the stuff only great leaders can do. Unpopular but absolutely necessary. This is what Nigeria needed not some lilly livered pretender who will pander to some useless populism that will keep Nigeria down for another decade or two. |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by surgical: 8:13pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
ElSudani:you are just a blind supporter ,who can even support Satan if he were to be on earth No value just support anything in power How is the decision, that of a visionary, a visionary would have weighed the pro and cons of a decision and take decision in the best interest of the people but this decision is not meant to achieve anything and it will not achieve He is just punishing Nigerians for being foolish enough to make him president What is he going to achieve to the benefits of the people when he removed subsidy and increased all prices, which brought increased revenue to government, which is the intention anyway but What he did with is at variance with your submission, he invested the pain of the people on austentatious spending like buying yacht, limousines, bogus airplane and pampering of the elites and othe wasteful expenditures These will not be the focus of a visionary leader, personal agrandisment That's why bwala said give him 30 years he won't achieve anything |

surgical:Satan! The use of hyperbole and silly exaggerations is the reason why Nigerians are not taking the so called opposition seriously. Tell us what you could have done differently, tell us what you want to do and back it up with your records either in public or private sector. All these exaggerations aimed at tarnishing the image of the current administration is not working, seriously. |
| Re: Reforms: Only Tinubu Could Have Done This - Penguin2 by Obaaderemi2: 9:44pm On Jun 01, 2025 |
ivandragon:Who stopped you from protesting now? You can as well take to the streets like BAt and his followers did. Why did Jonathan cave in if he was truly serious about it? Did you know that it wasn't only tinubu who said he would remove subsidy? Atiku and obi said same thing. Under pdp the subsidy thing was an absolute mess. They were just cashing out anyhow, even worse than buharis time. Wo, they're all thieves but at least this one seems to have a plan that can favour Nigeria's future |

Penguin2:Uncle we still have black market rates.. What if there R people who still getting Forex at cheap price from CBN? What of hajj and Jerusalem pilgrims, how much do they exchange dollar for them compare to the official rate? Why did U skip local government autonomy? Cos on paper, there's autonomy but in real and practical terms, it's still status quo.. What if the tax policy toe the same path as the local government autonomy? And for the umpteen time, Buhari removed fuel subsidy during his first year in office.. Even when we told them it was partial removal, Osinbàjo told us it was full deregulation of downstream sector. Even Tinubu who was APC chieftain then corroborated this statement from the then VP.. Infact it is on record that fuel prices changed more than 6times during that regime. The then govt of Buhari said there weren't paying subsidy for every fuel brought into the country, that's why they cloned the term UNDER-RECOVERY for the low price Nigerians were buying against what our neighbours from other countries were buying. |

Anybody supporting Tinubu government is pure wicked. There is no reform at all, Tinubu is only saving money to buy and destabilize opposition parties, I have never seen a man afraid of election like Tinubu |
