I was just speaking with a young recently graduated physiotherapist, she was asking what the future prospects will be for her in the country. My candid advice to her was to get out of the country once she gets the opportunity as in my opinion the future here is not looking good. Naija makes people kids, it does not make you grow up fast if you know what I mean.
Eg, my brothers kids of the same age with mine schooling in Canada refused to come home for the holidays that they prefer to work as they are making good money. Infact the their mum the other day was saying her daughter earms more than she as an executive earns here in naija. Lol. Meanwhile my own kids also on holiday are here with me at home doing nothing, abi which holiday work will they do that will pay them more than 50k?
Bros naija has casted big time, oil prices are up, our earning are higher, subsidy they said was depleting our reserves and destroying the naira has been removed, dangote refinary is now working and our forex is not been used to import petroleum products, our crude production has increased from 700k barrels to close to 2m bpd yet naira is still falling against the dollar, Nigerians getting poorer daily, purchasing power devastated. Bros why is our own like this, can you kindly educate me?
..... Nonsense talk, how can you compare a third world country to a fully advanced wealthy country, its like comparing a Keke with Maybach.

Are you referring to a ₦10 decline as a plunge? In a managed float system, the currency isn’t expected to remain static like in a fixed exchange rate regime—moderate fluctuations are normal. If you’re calculating the ₦10 drop as a percentage of the average of the start and end rates (₦1625), then it’s less than 1%.
looks like tribalism makes people shameless

They need to pump more dollars to the parallel market to defend the naira
The dual exchange rate still exists and the gulf is getting wider
it's time to open the reserves once again
Defending the naira is very much like suffering in vain and the sacrifices are for nothing

If only Tinubu had chosen common sense over IMF directives, merely declaring state of emergency on our productivity and upscaling export would have rescued the Naira and forestall a weakening

For the dollar rate to fall, we must kick start that ajaokuta mill and have factory that are ready to process from the steel from raw to finished produce.
Already the dangote refinery has reduced pressure on fx to a large extent but we need more players on ground so we can satisfy local appetite before export

The pressure on naira is from imports eg steel products, petrol, foodstuff etc.
The country should break the bottleneck around them

You have yourself and no one else to blame for holding a worthless paper currency in the digital age. Do yourself a favor and convert your savings to Bitcoin. Seriously it is highly irresponsible to keep your savings in fiat, be it dollar or naira.

Make una dey shame small for this defending thing. Something your president was protesting in 2014 against Jonathan for being 220/1 dollar, today it has rubbished to 1630/1 dollar, and you don't see anything wrong in that?
